Sa nalalapit na 2026 Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, hinihikayat ang lahat ng kwalipikadong mamamayan, lalo na ang mga kabataan at first-time voters, na magparehistro at gamitin ang kanilang karapatang bumoto.

𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗶𝗿: 𝗬-𝗦𝗶𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮 🌱

On November 06, 2025, our project spearheads joined the DXAS 166 AM Community Radio, where they talked about Y-Siembra, a community-based sustainability initiative that addresses the need to innovate farming practices in response to issues of food security and economic empowerment, and in essence, it aims to evolve such practices sustainably.

On the same program, Ervin Ramos, the Zamboanga City Area Coordinator, also zeroed in on the disconnect of youth in the agricultural sector, as certain observations suggest that the youth may no longer find agriculture as a viable source of financial stability–a stereotypical notion that Y-Siembra is trying to combat.

Y-Siembra is supported by LEaP Program by ALTEC-SUGPAT, Kids Who Farm, ATIWA, Sangguniang Kabataan-Barangay Tulungatung, Sangguniang Kabataan-Barangay Ayala, and the Department of Agriculture.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗸𝗮-𝗨𝗞𝗭? ❤️‍🩹

On October 21, 2025, our Legal and Policy Head, Prince Ceniza, was invited to speak during the "Think. Write. Respond. A Training in News Writing, Personality Development, and Crisis Management," where he zeroed in on the importance of organizational communication and its relationship with personality development, and how these two important facets interact with each other.

His speaking engagement also centered on communication strategies, emotional intelligence in the workplace, and the importance of self-care in developing our personalities. He emphasized that being kind to ourselves is as important as being kind to others.

USAD Ka-ZamPen would like to extend its gratitude to the organizing team of the event and its participants for inviting us.

EYES ON Y-SIEMBRA 2.0 INNOVATION IN NUTRITION AND FOOD SECURITY 🌱🪴

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Baluno, in partnership with USAD Ka-ZamPen will be organizing symposium on Nutrition and Food Security this Nutrition Month, embracing this year’s Theme : “ Food at Nutrition Security Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain Karapatan Natin!

The discussions will delve into key areas of food security, including: the challenges of malnutrition in the community, strategies for improving dietary diversity and access to nutritious foods, sustainable farming practices to enhance local food production, and the effects of climate change on food availability and stability.

Following the discussions, a practical workshop will guide participants in building tarpots and gardenators – simple, effective tools for home gardening and increased food security.

What we cultivate today, we sustain tomorrow. 🌿
