President Bongbong Marcos Jr., I have dedicated my life to upholding the law and serving with integrity and fairness. I have been apolitical and selfless, choosing to focus on my profession and my peopleβs welfare. But today, I can no longer turn a blind eye to the blatant marginalization of Tawi-Tawi in the Bangsamoro Parliament.
I did not seek this fight. But as a lawyer, this is where my people need me the most.
π΄ Why has Tawi-Tawi been stripped of its rightful representation?
π΄ Why were our MPs replaced with individuals who do not represent us?
π΄ Why are the voices of Tawi-Tawians being drowned out in their own region?
The Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) guarantees fair and inclusive governance, yet the recent appointments in the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) violate that very principle. Tawi-Tawiβs unique struggles and aspirations cannot be represented by outsiders. We need leaders who understand our realities, not political placeholders from the mainland.
Mr. President, this is not just about politicsβthis is about justice.

Review and rectify the unjust appointments in the BTA.

Restore Tawi-Tawiβs rightful representatives in the Bangsamoro Parliament.
