READ | The Board of College Governors releases the following resolution proposing to the University President, through the Center of Information and Technology Services (CITS), the integration of an RFID-Based Uniform Verification System (RUVS) module into the existing student RFID system to streamline campus entry and enhance operational efficiency.
i. BOCG RESOLUTION NO. 080-2526, “A RESOLUTION PROPOSING TO THE UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT THRU THE CENTER OF INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (CITS) THE INTEGRATION OF AN RFID-BASED UNIFORM VERIFICATION SYSTEM (RUVS) MODULE INTO THE EXISTING STUDENT RFID SYSTEM TO STREAMLINE STUDENTS’ CAMPUS ENTRY AND ENHANCE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY”
This Resolution proposes the development and implementation of a system that integrates student schedules with RFID-based entry verification to ensure proper attire compliance at campus entry points. Through real-time display of class schedules and corresponding uniform requirements, the system enables efficient verification by security personnel while minimizing inconvenience for students. It aims to eliminate the redundant “double-change” process, reduce administrative burden, and promote a smarter, more streamlined campus experience aligned with institutional policies.
The proposal also recommends the formation of a Technical Working Group (TWG) composed of key university offices to oversee system integration, pilot testing, and implementation, ensuring coordination, efficiency, and data accuracy across platforms.
