Another Successful and Fun Project BATA: Building A Thriving Atmosphere for Children!

The recently concluded Project BATA – Zambowood, held on May 02, 2026, was a meaningful journey of service and connection with the community of Zone 8, Barangay Zambowood. Amidst the bumpy roads and scorching heat, we pushed through with grateful hearts, knowing that at the end of the journey were children whose smiles would make everything worthwhile.

Through this initiative, we were able to distribute 50 hygiene kits and school supplies, helping provide for their basic needs and encourage them to continue learning. The day was filled with laughter and excitement as the children actively participated in fun games, creating moments of joy and genuine connection. Seeing the smiles on their faces reminded us that even the simplest efforts can leave a lasting impact.

More than just an activity, this project became a reflection of compassion, unity, and purpose. Despite the challenges along the way, we remained committed to serving with sincerity and heart. And as we conclude this visit, we carry with us the hope and eagerness to return, to once again share moments and continue building meaningful relationships with the community.

Empowering our youth for a safer, stronger future!

JJC Zamboanga, in partnership with the Barangay Guisao Council, successfully launched the PROJECT BATA: Building a Thriving Atmosphere Youth Camp. This two-day intensive program was designed to strengthen resilience, heighten awareness, and champion anti-drug advocacy among our young leaders.

PUERTA 3.0: Opening Doors to Purpose and Leadership 🚪✨

A truly meaningful and inspiring day unfolded at Divisoria Elementary School as aspiring members officially stepped into the dynamic world of the JJC Movement. More than just an introduction, the session served as a gateway to understanding the organization’s rich history, its core purpose, and the responsibilities that come with becoming a true Jaycee.

The journey toward this moment was a dedicated and purposeful process. The PUERTA 3.0: Opening Doors to Purpose and Leadership ran for a full month, alongside a month-long recruitment period that welcomed aspiring applicants. This was followed by a four-day interview process held last April 13, culminating in the face-to-face OTI conducted last April 25.

The program began with an engaging discussion on the history and foundation of JJC led by Pres. Jhiro, setting the tone for a day of learning and reflection. This was followed by an insightful session on Parliamentary Procedure, equipping participants with essential knowledge on structured and effective meetings. To complete the learning experience, AVP Brainer delivered a comprehensive talk on JCI Protocol, highlighting the standards and values upheld within the organization.

Membership & Extension Commissioner and Project Chairperson Kyle Columbres, together with Co-Chairperson Jia Jannelle Camins, emphasized the importance of these learning opportunities in shaping empowered and informed members.

They also extended their sincere appreciation to the speakers for sharing their expertise and to the new Jaycees for their enthusiasm and active participation throughout the session.

As PUERTA 3.0 comes to a close, we proudly celebrate that we have successfully recruited 13 new Jaycees, marking a strong and promising addition to the organization.

Empowering the next generation of Zamboangueño Jovenes! 🇵🇭

JJC Zamboanga recently joined forces with the students of Ateneo de Zamboanga University for a meaningful visit to Barangay Sinunuc. Through Project BATA and EmerJAYCEES, we were able to provide children with school supplies and EmerJAYCEES kits to fuel their bright futures.

Beyond education, safety is our priority. In partnership with Project HANDA, we conducted disaster preparedness training to ensure our youth are ready for any situation.

A huge thank you to Ateneo de Zamboanga University and the Sinunuc Barangay Council for a partnership that truly makes a difference.
