𝐎𝐧 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐔) 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲, focusing on military discipline, drills and ceremonies, and emergency response preparedness.

The training was held under the active guidance and presence of the University Commandant, 𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐓 𝐒𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐀 𝐆𝐒𝐂 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐒) alongside ROTC Coordinator 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐲 𝐏 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚. With the assistance of our 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐆𝐌𝐀𝐬), the cadets showed noticeable improvement in their ex*****on of military drills.

The day commenced at𝟎𝟕𝟎𝟎𝐇 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬, followed by field training where the cadets and cadettes practiced the fundamentals of military drills and ceremonies.

𝐀𝐭 𝟎𝟗𝟎𝟎𝐇, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐔 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 for a lecture and practical simulation on 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 (𝐁𝐋𝐒), conducted in partnership with the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐏𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌𝐎) 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬. The session was facilitated by 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐨𝐩𝐨 (𝐋𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌𝐎 𝐈), 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨, equipping the cadets with vital life-saving skills for medical emergencies.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Catanduanes State University ROTC Unit Commences Its 5th Training Day

On September 26, 2026, the Catanduanes State University ROTC Unit started the 5th Training Day with the focus on the development of skills and the improvement of the knowledge of the cadets in the fields of discipline and field exercises.

At 0700H, the training started with the inspection of ranks for the 1CL, 2CL, and Incoming Advance Cadet Officers. It was quickly followed by the formation of the cadets and cadettes in order to conduct the field training with the practice of military drills and ceremonies with the demonstration of the Pasa Masid (Pass in Review). Such an activity helped to develop instinctive obedience, teamwork, and precision in the movements and formation.

At 0900H, the cadets and cadettes gathered at the CatSU Gymnasium to attend the lecture about Rule of law by Sgt Shyrel S Olino PA (Res). The lecture was devoted to the importance of human rights and humane treatment of people during the war.

After the talk, the topic on Followership was tackled by Sgt. John Reo B Torrecampo PA (Res), highlighting the importance of leadership, camaraderie, teamwork, and unity within the unit.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Catanduanes State University ROTC Unit Conducts a Lecture on Legal Rights and Procedures During Its 4th Training Day

The Catanduanes State University ROTC Unit commenced its 4th Training Day with a Coastal Cleanup Drive at 0600H at Palnab del Sur, Virac, Catanduanes, in line with the National Coastal Cleanup Drive. The activity was participated in by the incoming Advance ROTC Officers, highlighting their commitment to environmental stewardship and community service.

The cleanup drive was also graced by the presence of Dr. Gemma G. Acedo, SUC President III, who joined and supported the activity.

Following the cleanup drive, At 0700H to 0800H the Basic Cadets proceeded with their scheduled training activities. The session began with practical instruction on basic military formations and rank inspection, focusing on proper grooming, correct uniform wear, and discipline. At The 0800H to 0900H The Basic Cadets also practiced fundamental drills to develop their coordination, proper movements, and adherence to commands

At 0900H to 1100H, following the practical drill, Sir Ian led a lecture on key legal concepts and procedures. He discussed the mechanics of inquest proceedings, as well as the requirements for the issuance and validity of search and arrest warrants, providing cadets with practical knowledge of citizens’ rights and due process.

#𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Catanduanes State University ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 3rd Training Day, focusing on strengthening the cadets’ discipline, core values, leadership, and patriotic spirit as responsible citizens.

The training commenced with the inspection of ranks at exactly 0700H, where the 1CL, 2CL, and incoming cadet officers were inspected to ensure proper uniformity, bearings, discipline, and preparedness prior to the training activities.

The activity continued with the morning formation, where the Basic Cadets were organized into their respective platoons and properly aligned under their designated units. At 0800H, an inspection of the Basic Cadets was conducted to check their uniformity, discipline, and bearing.

By 0830H, the Basic Cadets took a quiz covering the topics discussed during the 1st and 2nd Training Days, particularly the Conduct of a Soldier, Organizational Core Values, Key Pillars, and Chain of Command. The quiz served to assess the cadets’ understanding of the lessons and their knowledge of the fundamental principles of military discipline, responsibility, leadership, and organizational structure.

From 0900H to 1100H, Sgt Jennelyn V. Chavez PA (Res) facilitated a lecture on Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Medics Platoon, providing cadets with essential knowledge and skills in responding to emergency situations.

At the same time, the CatSU ROTC Unit participated in the National Reservist Week (NRW) through an Video Teleconference (VTC), emphasizing the importance of preparedness, service, leadership, and commitment to the nation.

#𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Catanduanes State University ROTC Unit successfully held its 2nd Training Assembly, aimed at developing cadets’ core values, discipline, and patriotic mindset as responsible citizens.

The day began with the inspection of ranks at exactly 0700H, where the 1CL and 2CL cadets were inspected to ensure proper uniformity, bearing, discipline, and preparedness prior to the commencement of the training activities.

The activity continued with the morning formation, where the basic cadets
went took to their respective platoons and were properly organized under their designated units. At 0800H, an inspection of the basic cadets was conducted to ensure proper uniformity, discipline, and military bearing. By 0830H, the basic cadets were introduced to fundamental military knowledge, particularly the proper ex*****on of the military salute and basic drills, helping them develop discipline, coordination, and familiarity with essential military customs and courtesies.

At 0900H to 1100H, Sgt Airon Jhones Ruel PA (Res) conducted a lecture covering the organization’s core values, key pillars, and chain of command. This was followed by a session on the Code of Citizenship facilitated by Sgt Gwyneth O Torrecampo PA (Res) highlighting the importance of patriotism, moral character, and civic responsibility among cadets.
