As part of the Day 7 activities of the 2026 Accountancy Week Celebration, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) – Catanduanes Chapter proudly conducted a Tree Planting Activity, reaffirming our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable nation-building.

Just as integrity is deeply rooted in the accounting profession, every tree we planted today symbolizes our shared responsibility to create a future that is not only economically sound but also environmentally sustainable. Beyond balancing books and ensuring accountability, Certified Public Accountants are also called to be stewards of communities and champions of meaningful change.

As part of the Day 6 activities of the 2026 Accountancy Week Celebration, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) – Catanduanes Chapter, with the invaluable assistance of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) – CatSU Chapter, conducted a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activity through the distribution of food packs to our hardworking tricycle drivers around Catanduanes State University and LandBank, as well as our dedicated security guards and police officers.

In line with the 2026 Accountancy Week Celebration Theme, "Empower: Elevating the Filipino CPA Towards Ethical Leadership and Global Excellence," this initiative reflects our belief that ethical leadership is demonstrated not only in professional excellence but also in genuine concern for the welfare of our community. By empowering others through acts of kindness, we strengthen the foundation of a profession that serves with both competence and compassion.

The Chapter also extends its heartfelt gratitude to our food pack suppliers and partners for helping make this outreach possible. Your generosity and support enabled us to share not only meals but also hope and appreciation with our community frontliners. Thank you for being part of this meaningful endeavor and for reminding us that impactful partnerships create lasting change.

As we continue our celebration of 2026 Accountancy Week, the spirit of excellence came alive through the Accounting Quiz Bee, where five teams from the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) – CatSU Chapter showcased their knowledge, critical thinking, and determination in a friendly yet challenging competition.

Anchored on this year's theme, "Elevating the Filipino CPA Towards Ethical Leadership and Global Excellence," the Quiz Bee was more than a test of accounting concepts: it was a testament to the commitment of our future professionals to continuously learn, compete with integrity, and strive for excellence. Every question answered reflected not only academic preparation but also the values of discipline, professionalism, and ethical decision-making that define the accounting profession.

Congratulations to all five participating teams for embracing the challenge with confidence and sportsmanship. Every team emerged as a winner, with all participants receiving cash prizes in recognition of their commendable performance and enthusiastic participation.

The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) – Catanduanes Chapter proudly commends the JPIA CatSU Chapter for their active participation and unwavering passion for learning. 3. The participant with the most compelling post, as selected by the PICPA Catanduanes Officers, will receive PICPA merchandise worth up to ₱1,000!

As part of the Day 4 activities of the 2026 Accountancy Week Celebration, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) – Catanduanes Chapter, in partnership with the Catanduanes State University – College of Business and Accountancy and the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) CatSU Chapter, proudly held the Testimonial and Oath-taking Ceremonies for the newest CPALE passers of Catanduanes State University.

The event was more than a celebration of passing the CPA Licensure Examination; it was a tribute to the countless hours of sacrifice, perseverance, discipline, and unwavering faith that transformed aspirations into reality. Through inspiring testimonials, meaningful messages, and the solemn oath-taking, our new Certified Public Accountants were reminded that earning the CPA title is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a lifelong commitment to competence, integrity, accountability, and service to the profession and the nation.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, the Chapter also witnessed a Book Donation Drive organized by JPIA - CatSu, symbolizing the profession's commitment to sharing knowledge and investing in the next generation of future accountants. More than books, the initiative represents the enduring value of mentorship, lifelong learning, and giving back to the academic community that nurtures aspiring CPAs.

As part of the Day 3 activities of the 2026 Accountancy Week Celebration, the PICPA Catanduanes Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the Commission on Audit (COA) – Catanduanes Provincial Satellite Auditing Office, headed by OIC-Supervising Auditor Ms. Dirma T. Frias.

The visit provided an opportunity to reconnect with our fellow CPAs in government service and discuss the Chapter's key initiatives for Fiscal Year 2026–2027. Among the highlights were the promotion of active participation in PICPA programs and activities, the introduction of the upcoming PICPA merchandise initiative, the invitation to the 2026 PICPA Annual National Convention in Iloilo City, and the exploration of collaborative efforts that will further strengthen the accountancy profession in Catanduanes.

More than a courtesy call, this activity reflects PICPA Catanduanes' commitment to bringing the organization closer to every CPA in the province. We believe that a stronger Chapter begins with an engaged membership; professionals who are connected, informed, and actively involved in initiatives that promote lifelong learning, professional excellence, ethical practice, and service to the community.
