Ever wondered how one small moment can change someone’s whole day or maybe even their future? This Saturday, you get the chance to be that “small moment.”

This Saturday, we’re going UP into the 6th session of Project PAGbASA: May Pag-asa sa Pagbasa at Amamperez Elementary School. With Project PAGbASA, every page is a new adventure waiting to happen!

Like always, hindi lang ito pagpapabasa, it's about giving hope and opening up a world of possibilities for every learner. If you’ve been looking for a way to be part of something very meaningful, ito na 'yun!

And as always, our ever-supportive VM Cheryll Tan is making things easier by providing FREE VAN SERVICE for volunteers.

Just be at the Auditorium between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM so you can hop on. Be on time ha?! ☺️☝🏻

See you on Saturday and let’s keep planting hope, one reader at a time.

Lagi't lagi para sa bayan!💜

"ʜɪɴᴅɪ ʙᴀꜱᴛᴀ-ʙᴀꜱᴛᴀ ɴᴀɢᴘᴀᴘᴀᴋɪʟᴀʟᴀ ᴀɴɢ ʙᴀʀɪʟ ꜱᴀ ʙᴀᴛᴀ."

In light of the alarming safety concerns in our schools, let us remember, ang baril ay isa lamang bagay na walang buhay. Hindi ito nakakapaglakad, at lalong wala itong boses na mag-uutos sa'yo na gumawa ng karahasan. 𝐼𝓉 𝒹𝑜𝑒𝓈 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝒾𝓃𝓉𝓇𝑜𝒹𝓊𝒸𝑒 𝒾𝓉𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻, 𝒾𝓉 𝒾𝓈 𝒾𝓃𝓉𝓇𝑜𝒹𝓊𝒸𝑒𝒹!

May this also be a reminder: teachers educate, but parents cultivate.

A safe school environment starts with a well-guided child at home.

𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐙𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄!!!!

Calling us '𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩' just excuses a broken system. We shouldn't have to be resilient, when we should be safe in the first place. Huwag nating i-glorify ang mga apektado nating kababayan, na all-smiles sa pagbaha, kasi we are just normalizing the failure of the government that is meant to protect them.

Stop romanticizing resilience and start demanding accountability. Every time floods wash away our homes, savings, and years of hard work, we see the same stories praised online, people smiling in chest-deep water or carrying their pets through the currents. Framing these moments purely as "inspiring" normalizes unnecessary suffering and hides systemic failure.

While the strength and humanity of everyday people are real, endurance should be a last resort in a crisis, not an annual survival requirement caused by poor infrastructure, substandard flood control, and lack of proactive leadership. We do not just need praise for surviving another preventable disaster; we deserve functional flood management, proper planning, and real accountability from those in power.

STOP ROMANTICIZING FILIPINO RESILIENCE!!!

📢 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

Due to the inclement weather caused by LPA 07f (formerly Typhoon Maymay) and Habagat, we are cancelling our fifth session of 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗯𝗔𝗦𝗔: 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘇 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, August 8, 2026. We always consider the safety and well-being of our learners, volunteers, teachers, and parents.

The safety of everyone will always remain our highest priority. We encourage everyone to stay indoors, remain vigilant, and monitor updates from PAGASA and your local government units as weather conditions continue to develop.

Project PAGbASA sessions will resume on Saturday, August 15, 2026, provided that weather conditions have improved and it is safe to conduct our activities.

Thank you for your understanding.

Wrapping up our 4th week of 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑷𝑨𝑮𝒃𝑨𝑺𝑨 𝒂𝒕 𝑨𝒎𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒛 𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 has us feeling incredibly proud.

Teaching a child to read is one thing, but witnessing their actual growth in reading, comprehension? That is the real magic. Their progress is a powerful reminder of why we show up.

This movement thrives because a whole community chooses to support these learners. A big shoutout to everyone keeping the momentum going:

* Amamperez Elementary School Faculty & Staff - for welcoming us with open arms every single week.
* Vice Mayor Cheryll Tan - for ensuring our volunteers always have reliable transport.
* Ballroom For-A-Cause Organizers & Participants - for the invaluable support that keeps us running.
* Capulaan National High School - Supreme Secondary Learner Government, AAIHS Supreme Secondary Learner Government 2026-2027, and Supreme Secondary Learner Government - Unzad National High School - for setting such a powerful example of youth leadership.
* Our Rock-Solid Volunteers - you are the true heart of Project PAGbASA. Thank you for your endless energy, dedication, and heart. We are changing lives together!

See you again next session, as we continue turning pages, building dreams, and creating more success stories, one learner at a time. 🌟
