Last July 7, we held our orientation to Alternative Learning System for our learners.

🙌 We discussed a session on Character Virtues and Growth Mindset to kickstart their classes, alongside an Art Activity Workshop that showcases the theme: Mga Alaala na Nagpasaya sa Akin.

✨️ This reflects our students' reflection of their stories and hold it with pride of their courage to continue their education in DepEd ALS and strive to dream more for themselves.

🙏🧡 We were also honored by the presence of BM Chinggay Veloso-Kabigting, who sparked hope and encouragement for our learners, "Panghawakan ninyo ang mga bagay na nagpapasaya sa inyo upang mas makamit ninyo ang pangarap." Daghang salamat to the Vicente M. Veloso Memorial Foundation for showing your heartfelt support for our ALS learners as they start their education journey!

📣 Last June 30, 2025, Project Lahum has officially turned-over the Learning Resource Guides, Volunteer Equipments, and Classroom resources to the DepEd Alternative Learning System Villaba South District. 🙌✨️

📣 We would like to express our gratitude to our key partners - DepEd ALS and Visayas State University - Villaba Campus MindSprout for a sustainable partnership to extend their academic support and well-being initiatives to our learners this Academic Year 📚✨️

📣 This journey is also made possible through the generous support of our donor foundation - the Vicente M. Veloso Memorial Foundation, Inc. We are grateful for being able to operate our volunteers' training for their Capacity-Building and provide the resource equipments for promoting literacy and numeracy in ALS for our Barangays. 📚✨️

𝟓/𝟓 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 📍

📣 Our Lahum Volunteers and Visayas State University volunteers completed their 5-day training last June 11, 2025. Over the past week, they covered Knowledge-Content Sessions, Well-Being Sessions, and Turn-Over Preparations. Equipped and set, they are ready to teach and reach our DepEd ALS students in Villaba! 👩🏻‍🏫🧑‍🏫

📣 They also simulated one of our Project’s highlight - Lakaw-Gamay, Istorya-Daghan (LGID Circles) - to be able to give mentoring and personal coaching to their future ALS students. Stay tuned for more! 🌟

Project Lahum extends gratitude to the speakers of our Capacity-Building Training, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗔. 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝗿. 𝗘𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝘇𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 from the Department of Education - Alternative Learning System.

Last May 30, they enlightened our Lahum volunteers about the background of the ALS program and context of becoming ALS educators on the ground. They also highlighted the multiple opportunities of the program to best support their learners.

Thank you to the DepEd ALS for sharing your expertise and advocacy to our volunteers! 👩‍🏫✨

Last May 28, Project Lahum started its Capacity-Building Training for the 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 in preparation for their partnership with DepEd ALS as Lahum Volunteers. They started their first session day with an onboarding and expectation setting throughout the training.

Samahan sa paglakbay ang ating mga Tara Kaya Program students at Gabay sa Bata parents sa kanilang Culmination Activity nung April 5, 2025 sa Villaba South Central School, Conference Hall.

📣 Daghang salamat sa ating mga learners, gabays, VSCS co-teachers, at School Head sa pagsuporta ng TKP nitong AY. 2024-2025!

Isang taon ng pag gawa ng mga masasayang alaala ng pagbabasa at pagbibilang. Ngiting tagumpay ang baon ng lahat. Sa pagsabi ng "ready na, ready na?" lumakbay tayo hangtud sa maging "kayang kaya!"
