๐Ÿ Roots in Motion: Agroforestry on the Move

Rooted in sustainability and community growth, the Beeglad Association continues to take meaningful steps toward a greener and more resilient future through its agroforestry initiative. By purchasing grafted fruit seedlings, the association is not only planting trees but also nurturing stronger bee food sources, promoting food security, protecting the environment, and creating additional livelihood opportunities for the community. ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’š

Empowering the Next Generation of Citizen Scientists

Children are the hope of our future, and through Nurturing Gawahon, a project under the Philippine-Canada Partnership on Nature-based Solutions for Climate Adaptation (PCP4NbS), we believed with the importance of encouraging youth participation in environmental conservation. Facilitated by Philippines Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, Inc., the Biannual (Dry Season) Biodiversity Monitoring System (BMS).

Among the 30 participants, Cherry Ann Pedoy, 10 years old, became the youngest participant in the activity conducted at Gawahon Eco-Park, Victorias City.

As the project continues, we hope to inspire more community membersโ€” including the youth, to take part in protecting and conserving biodiversity for future generations.

TERRA MADRE ASIA AND PACIFIC 2025

Grateful appreciation is extended to the Forest Foundation Philippines, through the Philippines-Canada Partnership on Nature-based Solutions for Climate Adaptation (PCP4NbS), for the invitation to Terra Madre Asia & Pacific 2025. The event provided a meaningful opportunity to join an international gathering centered on key global advocacies, and also allowed selected grantees of the Forest Foundation Philippines from different areas to meet and connect with one another.

The event offered valuable public talks and discussions that deepened understanding of global issues, with insights from experts and advocates on sustainable development, climate resilience, and community-based environmental protection. It also created opportunities to connect with individuals and organizations promoting womenโ€™s empowerment, food security, food and seed sovereignty, organic agriculture, and nature-based solutions, further strengthening support for the project's advocacies and encouraging continued efforts toward positive community impact.
