Rotary Club of Victoria Officially Launches RY 2025-2026 Through Kick-off Activity: Project P.U.S.O.
The Rotary Club of Victoria officially launched its Rotary Year (RY) 2025β2026 through the kickoff activity, Project P.U.S.O. held on June 28 at the Barangay Hall of Alcate, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro.
The activity gathered community members, barangay officials, and Rotarians for a meaningful day of dialogue and engagement centered on grassroots peacebuilding and community development.
A highlight of the event was a discussion on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) led by Rtn. Atty. Sherlyn A. Layesa, who underscored the importance of peaceful, non-litigious means of resolving conflicts at the community level. Atty. Layesa emphasized that strengthening local mechanisms for dialogue and settlement contributes to lasting peace and unity in the barangay.
Participants also took part in interactive workshop activities, where they actively discussed pressing community concerns and explored practical solutions through collaborative group tasks. The workshops encouraged reflection and participation, reinforcing the projectβs commitment to inclusive and responsive service.
The event concluded with the sharing of simple snacks, offering a chance for further fellowship and informal dialogue among community members and Rotarians.
Through Project P.U.S.O., the Rotary Club of Victoria aims to bring its mission of service above self closer to the grassroots level, marking the beginning of a year filled with purposeful action and community empowerment.
