Yesterday marked a meaningful start for our 26 participants from various companies as they began their journey in the Standard First Aid Training (SFAT).

They were introduced to the organization, its mission and services, and equipped with essential life-saving knowledge and skills—including First Aid Management, proper use of AED, and CPR for both adults and infants.

Today, they stepped up to the challenge as they underwent their practical examination in Basic Life Support (BLS)—demonstrating CPR for adult and infant, proper use of AED, and application of the Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM).

From learning the basics to applying their skills in real scenarios, each participant continues to move closer to becoming confident and capable lifesavers in their workplaces and communities.

Today, we pause to honor a woman whose life is a beautiful tapestry of compassion, courage, and an unbreakable commitment to others. Chairman Elizabeth A. Chongco is more than just a leader; she is the mother of our volunteer community and a true pillar of Valenzuela City.

For over 20 years, she has worn the Red Cross vest with unmatched pride, transforming the Valenzuela City Chapter into a sanctuary of hope. But her service doesn't stop there. As a dedicated public servant, she has spent decades in the trenches of community work, ensuring that no Valenzuelano is left behind—whether through social services, scouting, or disaster response.

The Standard First Aid Training (SFAT) held on April 13–16, 2026 San Miguel Polo Brewery has been successfully completed, with 34 participants from the company.

For four days, participants engaged in comprehensive discussions, hands-on exercises, and realistic emergency scenarios. They underwent both written and practical examinations, demonstrating their knowledge, skills, and readiness to respond in times of need.

Congratulations to the 21 participants from various companies who have successfully completed the 4-day Standard First Aid Training (SFAT)!
Over the course of four days, participants underwent an intensive and meaningful journey—starting from foundational knowledge of first aid, to hands-on demonstrations, and real-life scenario simulations. They faced both written examinations to test their understanding and practical exams that challenged their skills, composure, and ability to respond effectively during emergencies.
Through teamwork, dedication, and perseverance, each participant demonstrated their readiness to act when it matters most. Their commitment to learning life-saving techniques reflects a strong sense of responsibility toward creating safer workplaces and communities.
We commend all completers for their hard work and determination. May the knowledge and skills you have gained empower you to save lives and make a difference. ⛑️
