✨Moments That Brought Us Together During GYT ✨
Before the forum officially began, all delegates had the chance to share an afternoon tour together. We met in Beitou, Taipei, where our shared care for sustainability brought us together🎉. And while sharing time, stories, and moments, we slowly forgot what set us apart and discovered what held us together, growing into a global family shaped by care and solidarity🤗

Walking through the Beitou Hot Spring Museum and visiting the Beitou Public Library, we experienced how history, culture, and care for the environment can coexist daily in meaningful ways✨ Getting to know these beautiful places in Taipei alongside caring and knowledgeable people made the 2026 Global Youth Trends Forum so special.
And as the forum unfolded, many encounters brought us closer; through conversations, laughter, and working side by side in activities and games that asked us to collaborate and think together, we successfully made long-lasting impressions on one another, inspiring and cheering for each other.

When we care and struggle together, empathy grows, and so does our sense of responsibility for one another💚

As we begin this new year, we carry with us gratitude for these moments, for the people we met, and for the reminder that a more sustainable world is built first through human connection🌏

✨ 2026 Global Youth Trends Forum | Days 1 & 2 ✨

World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific was grateful to take part in the 2026 Global Youth Trends Forum, held in Taiwan🇹🇼 on January 3–4 and hosted by the Youth Development Administration, Ministry of Education.

Under the theme “Powering Sustainability: Youth × Green Collar × Action,” the forum brought together youth delegations from around the world to reflect on sustainable development, and the role of young people in shaping a greener future🌏♻️

💠 Day 1 centered on global perspectives on sustainability and youth leadership, with inspiring keynote discussions. Youth representatives from different regions also shared reflections on how sustainability challenges and solutions take shape in their local contexts. Representing WYAAP, Naomi Mier, Project Officer, presented on the importance of human-centered development, youth formation, and meaningful participation as essential foundations for effective and lasting sustainability efforts.

💠 Day 2 shifted the focus toward practical pathways forward, exploring green innovation, future-ready skills, and cross-sector collaboration through interactive discussions. Faye Ysabela Ong, International Director of Operations of World Youth Alliance, together with fellow youth delegates, presented on the knowledge, skills, actions, and attitudes needed for young people to lead change in the future of green-collar jobs and sustainable development.

Across both days, the forum created space for meaningful exchange and collaboration among young leaders from all over the world. Participants deepened their understanding of global sustainability challenges and the role of youth in shaping practical, forward-looking solutions.
