Sometimes, we don’t need someone to fix everything—we just need someone who’s willing to listen. 🫂
There are days when we feel okay, and days when we really don’t. And that’s okay.
“It’s okay to feel it all.” — NCMH Public Health Unit
Everything we feel is valid. Sometimes, all we need is someone who will listen, understand, and make us feel heard and valued. We are allowed to feel our emotions, but what matters most is how we handle them and how we choose to move forward.
During the seminar, a specific quote from the book provided really stood out to us:
“The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own.” — Dr. Albert Ellis
It reminds us that while we can’t always control what happens around us, we can always choose to take responsibility for how we respond.
A big thank you to SK Bignay for inviting the BIGNAY YOUTH CLUB to participate in the Mental Health Awareness Campaign—Bignay Mindcare: Break the Stigma, Building Resilience, featuring our valued speaker from the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH). It was a meaningful opportunity to deepen our understanding of mental health, learn how to support ourselves and others, and realize that there is never any shame in asking for help.
Let’s continue to break the stigma, build resilience, and remind one another: it’s okay to feel it all, and it’s always okay to ask for help. 💚
