Dr. Jocelyn C. Andamon, program head and faculty member of the College of Education at San Agustin Institute of Technology (SAIT), earned the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for her research titled “𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕-𝑷𝒆𝒅𝒂𝒈𝒐𝒈𝒚-𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 (𝑪𝑷𝑨) 𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒆𝒍: 𝑨 𝑻𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒄 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚-𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅.”

Her outstanding presentation was recognized during the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗜𝗖𝗠𝗦𝗘𝟮𝟱) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗠𝗦𝗣) 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝟭𝟬, 𝟭𝟮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠, held on October 27–29, 2025 at Paradise Garden Resort Hotel and Convention Center, Boracay Island, Philippines.

Dr. Andamon’s work highlights SAIT’s growing research excellence and its commitment to advancing innovative approaches in mathematics education. Her recognition at an international platform brings pride and honor to the institution, showcasing the dedication of SAIT educators to contribute to global academic discourse.

𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 2025

The Mentors Club of the Education Department joined the San Agustin Institute of Technology in celebrating Teachers’ Day 2025. This celebration was held to honor and appreciate the hard work, patience, and dedication of our beloved teachers who continue to guide and inspire us every day.

The event began with a Mass, where we offered prayers of thanksgiving for our teachers who have been instruments of knowledge and wisdom. After the Mass, a short program was held for the giving of tokens, as a simple act of gratitude for all that they do.

Today, we celebrate and thank all our teachers who guide us every day. You are not only teaching lessons inside the classroom, but also giving us wisdom and values that we can bring in life.

We know teaching is not easy, but your patience, effort, and care make a big difference in every student’s journey. Thank you for always believing in us, for supporting us when we struggle, and for cheering us on when we do our best.

In response to the announcement made by the LGU of the City of Valencia, upon the recommendation of the CDRRMO, and with the directives of the SAIT Administrative Council, classes and school activities at all levels will be temporarily suspended tomorrow, September 18, 2025, due to severe weather conditions.

The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff remain our top priority. We strongly encourage everyone to stay safe, remain indoors as much as possible, and take the necessary precautions during this time.

Let us also offer our prayers for those who are affected by flooding and other impacts of the tropical depression.

May we all be guided and protected during this situation.

In the Philippines, the start of the “𝓑𝓮𝓻 𝓜𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓱𝓼” signals the world’s longest Christmas season. Streets, homes, and hearts slowly begin to glow with parols, lights, and songs.

But beyond the festive countdown and Jose Mari Chan playlists — we are reminded that this tradition is more than just celebration.

As a Catholic nation, our long Christmas season reflects our deep faith.

While other countries start preparing only in December, Filipinos begin in September — showing how much we long for Christ’s coming.

The extended season is not just about decorations, but about preparing our hearts for Advent and the birth of our Savior.

Our joy is rooted in hope, family, generosity, and the presence of Christ among us.

Christmas in the Philippines is not just the longest — it’s also the warmest, because it is centered on faith, family, and love.
