MVC Central Student Government The Central Student Government is the recognized student governing body of Mountain View College.

The Central Student Council (CSC) is the recognized governing student body of Mountain View College. Originally called the Student Association, it later bacame known as the Student Government (SG) and for a while was called the Student Provisionary Government before finally becoming the CSC. Its constitution has undergone at least six revisions since the time it was called the SG. It has the following publications: Orchid, Views, Pencil, and the now defunct Newsprint.

On 17 August 2026, the President of the Central Student Government, the Honorable Adriel Rei Arellano Aurestila, officially signed the Presidential Appointments Act 2026 (Act No. 6, 2026) into law, making it the sixth law enacted by the Central Student Government in 2026 and the third Act signed during his administration.

The Presidential Appointments Act 2026 provides for the confirmation by the House of Student Representatives of presidential appointments requiring its advice and consent, establishing procedures for nominations, provisional appointments, referrals to the Committee on Appointments, and House consideration of presidential appointments.

On 17 August 2026, the President of the Central Student Government, the Honorable Adriel Rei Arellano Aurestila, officially signed the Budget and Impoundment Control Act 2026 (Act No. 5, 2026) into law, making it the fifth law enacted by the Central Student Government in 2026 and the second Act signed during his administration.

The Budget and Impoundment Control Act 2026 strengthens the budget system of the Central Student Government and provides controls over the impoundment of funds by the executive branch, establishing a legal framework for budget preparation, appropriation, ex*****on, and financial accountability.
