HEARTLAND GINGOOG

Some bonds are built to last.

Last Rotary Year, Heartland Gingoog earned a special place in my journey as the very first club organized under my term. (Thank you PAG Maggie GA Zapanta-Tse!)

And what a vibrant Club it has become!

Now in only its second year, the Club is already leaving an indelible mark on Gingoog City through sharp, purposeful, and deeply rooted community projects.

For as long as Rotary stands, my connection with Heartland Gingoog remains unbreakable.

My heartiest congratulations to CP Lai Z Escudero for an outstanding inaugural year of service, and warm best wishes to President Lolong Salon as he takes the reins for an exciting year ahead!

Backstory: Upon seeing me preparing for this shoot, Eia immediately changed outfits by herself and demanded a few photos with me as she always wanted to be a Rotarian herself. 😅

If we can inspire even one person to join us in creating lasting change, then we have succeeded.

TOP POLIOPLUS GIVING CLUBS

Last Rotary Year 2025-2026, three (3) Clubs from District 3870 met the challenge of raising at least $1,500.00 for PolioPlus.

These are:

(1) Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban
(2) Rotary Club of Gingoog Bay
(3) Rotary Club of Metro Valencia RID 3870 CID 67636

Overall, our District raised a total of $23,665.10 for PolioPlus last Rotary Year (Cash + DDF contributions).

Again, our heartfelt congratulations and thanks to all our donor Clubs and Individuals.

Your geneorsity has contributed to the global push to completely eradicate polio worldwide.

Thanks, too, to DRFC PDG Hubert B Quiblat and District Polio Coordinator PAG Elaine Sadava for your service and leadership.

THE LADIES OF CDO EAST URBAN

By any standard, the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban's performance last Rotary Year was among the District’s finest.

Its projects did more than uplift communities—they inspired those of us in District leadership to demand the best of ourselves for others.

The Rotary Impact Expo, for instance, was grand in scale, yet profoundly inclusive and intentional in its ex*****on. The District proudly shared in the reflected glory of that triumph—just one brilliant example of a year driven by heart, insight, and action.

It is no surprise, then, that when the stars were tallied following our District Awards Criteria, CDO East Urban emerged at the very top among fifty-one clubs.

My profound thanks go to Immediate Past President Stephanie Caragos for her stellar leadership, and my warmest wishes to President Ma. Karina May Galinato-Olavides as she takes the helm.

Wishing this outstanding Club, and all the exceptional ladies behind it, every success as they enter another year of service, leadership, and distinction.
