World AIDS Day 2024, observed on December 1st, focuses on the theme "Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!" This theme emphasizes the crucial role of human rights in the fight against HIV/AIDS, calling for global leaders and citizens to champion the right to health by addressing inequalities that hinder progress in ending AIDS.

The Importance of Human Rights in Ending AIDS

The World Health Organization (WHO) asserts that health is a fundamental human right, and everyone should have access to the healthcare services they need, including HIV prevention, treatment, and care, without discrimination. This includes access to antiretroviral therapy (ART), which allows people living with HIV to lead long, healthy lives and achieve an undetectable viral load, meaning they cannot transmit the virus to others.

Addressing Inequalities and Stigma

The theme highlights the need to address inequalities that prevent individuals from accessing essential HIV services.

World AIDS Day 2024 is a call to action to protect health through the protection of human rights. By working together to address inequalities, promote access to healthcare, and eliminate stigma, we can move closer to an AIDS-free future. The theme "Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!" serves as a powerful reminder that ending AIDS.

Today November 20, 2024, the Panpacific University entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with Philippine Red Cross Pangasinan Chapter attended by our Chairman of the Board, Hon. Maria Theresa Rodriguez-Peralta, and PU President, Dr. Donna T. Padilla - Taguiba.

The MOA formally sealed the partnership for the establishment of 1st College Red Cross Youth Council in Urdaneta City Branch, that aims to empower, educate and engage young leaders & provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their energy and idealism into worthwhile humanitarian activities.

On this day, 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 19, we are celebrating the 𝚆𝚘𝚛𝚕𝚍 𝚃𝚘𝚒𝚕𝚎𝚝 𝙳𝚊𝚢 with some 𝐻𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠-𝑜𝑛 ℎ𝑦𝑔𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑒!💧📢

We took action to keep things clean, by doing 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓. 🚽🚿 It’s a small step towards better sanitation and a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone.
