Kilala sa kanyang tapat na paglilingkod bilang Senator at “Ama ng Bangko Sentral,” si Raul Roco ay nagpakita ng tunay na pamamahala para sa kapakanan ng sambayanan. Sa kanyang pamumuno, higit na pinatatag ang sistemang bangko, pinalawak ang edukasyon, at pinagtibay ang batas — mga ambag na patuloy na nagbibigay‑inspirasyon at pag‑asa sa pag‑unlad ng ating bansa hanggang ngayon.

Sama‑sama nating gunitain ang kanyang buhay at parangalan ang kanyang pamana ng pag‑asa at paglilingkod. ✨

Today, we celebrate the 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩, 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚. As we honor our SCA’s model of leadership, we are reminded that Jesus’ kingship is unlike any earthly rule. His authority is rooted not in domination, but in service, not in privilege, but in compassion, not in power, but in self-giving love.

He is a King who reaches out to the lost, uplifts the lowly, and leads by example. His crown is one of sacrifice, and His throne is the cross—a powerful reminder that true leadership means choosing what is right, even when it is difficult.

Ates and Kuyas, may His life inspire us to embrace a leadership that is humble, compassionate, and rooted in faith. May we strive to mirror Christ’s example in our actions, decisions, and service to others.

Today, we remember 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙥𝙝 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙟𝙣 — 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙚 𝙅𝙪𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝘼𝙘𝙩 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙙𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮.

Born in Belgium (1882-1967), Cardijn devoted his life to listening to the working and young people, immersing himself in their realities, and empowering them to become active agents of change rather than passive recipients.

The See-Judge-Act method is simple in structure but profound in purpose:
𝙎𝙚𝙚 – attentively observe the realities around us: what is happening in our communities, what the lives of young people, workers, marginalized persons look like.
𝙅𝙪𝙙𝙜𝙚 – reflect on those realities in the light of our faith, Christian social teaching, values of human dignity, solidarity and justice: what does this situation call us to see? What structures, attitudes, forces are at play?
𝘼𝙘𝙩 – respond concretely: with collective and personal choices, community initiatives, engagement that transforms realities and builds the Kingdom of God here on earth.

Ates and Kuyas, as we commemorate Cardinal Cardijn, we recall that our faith calls us not to abstraction but to incarnate action — to be with the community, to listen deeply, to reflect, and then to act. May his legacy inspire us: to see the realities of our youth and our nation, to judge them in light of the Gospel, and to act with courage and love. We give thanks for Cardinal Cardijn’s life, his witness, and for entrusting us the See Judge Act Methodology.

On this day of remembrance we bring to mind our loved ones who have gone before us, including those whose names may no longer be spoken. We pause in reflection, gratitude, and quiet connection across time. May they find comfort in the gentle embrace of love and light, and may their souls rise from the shadows of oblivion into the luminous peace of God’s presence.
