UBAY, Bohol — Authorities arrested a 35-year-old suspected drug dealer and seized approximately 10 grams of suspected shabu, valued at 68,000 pesos, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Union, Ubay, Bohol, early on April 26, 2025.

The Municipal Drug Enforcement Team (MDET) of the Ubay Municipal Police Station, led by Police Captain Amelito M. Melloria, conducted the operation following weeks of surveillance and confirmation of the suspect’s activities. The suspect, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Mabini, Bohol, was identified as a newly designated street-level individual involved in the illegal drug trade.

Police confiscated the following items during the operation: one small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu; a 1,000-peso bill with serial number VU822610, marked with a cross on the forehead of Vicente Lim; three additional small heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; a green Mighty cigarette box; a black Redmi cellphone; and a sky-black Techno Spark cellphone.

“This successful operation reflects the dedication of the Ubay police to eradicating illegal drugs in our peaceful town,” Melloria said. “There is no place for drug dealers in Ubay.”

The suspect is in custody, and charges are being prepared under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
