Today, as we celebrate Philippine Independence Day, we are reminded that loving our country is not only easy during times of peace and prosperity. It matters even more during times of hardship.

The recent magnitude 7.8 earthquake has shaken communities and tested the strength of our people. At the same time, ongoing political conflicts and divisions continue to challenge our faith in the nation we call home.

But patriotism is not measured by how perfect a country is. It is measured by our willingness to stand by it, work for it, and believe in its future despite its imperfections.

Let us not allow disasters, political noise, or disappointment to extinguish our love for the Philippines. Let us not forget the sacrifices of our heroes who shed their blood so that future generations could live in freedom. Their courage was not given so we could abandon hope when times get difficult.

The Philippines is more than its problems. It is its people. It is resilience after every storm, unity after every challenge, and hope that refuses to die.

This Independence Day, may we honor our heroes not only with words but with actions. Let us continue building a nation worthy of their sacrifice.

Brigada is looking for a Horticulturist (Gensan)

The Horticulturist is responsible for overseeing landscape maintenance, including planting, watering, fertilizing, and general plant care to ensure healthy and visually appealing outdoor spaces. This role collaborates with the Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Events teams to maintain landscaped areas and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or any related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in landscaping, grounds supervision, or horticultural management.
• Strong knowledge of plant propagation, ornamental gardening, landscape design, and sustainable horticultural practices.
• Knowledgeable in plant care, fertilization, pruning, pest and disease management, and seasonal maintenance.
• Ability to identify plant-related issues and implement effective solutions.
