North Luzon Cinema Guild Inc.

North Luzon Cinema Guild Inc. Welcome to North Luzon Cinema Guild Inc. Page! This is a hub for aspiring filmmakers and practicing filmmakers in Northern Luzon.

The North Luzon Cinema Guild Inc. is a brainchild of Jerome Dulin to establish and influence the North Luzon Region to advocate film as a medium for artistic expression as well as a platform for societal reflection. Joseph Arcegono, Jefferson Dulin, Arceli Dulin, Mario Dulin, and Carla Barsabal carried-out and develop the organization’s core principle- becoming the co-founders. The organization be

lieves that film is an extension for communicating life and life experiences in the society we are in. And that, we can influence, change and reiterate wisdom we encounter in our existence. Also during its establishment, there are fragmented programs and rare opportunities in learning the art of filmmaking as well as occasions to feature regional films in North Luzon. Although, believing that filmmaking as an extension for communication and artistic expression, we believe that filmmaking should be a path in discovering and rediscovering our culture and the Filipino identity. We recognize the power of film as an incandescent towards social change. We believe that cinema can liberate the minds of the people and the people itself.

4 films premiering today after Alaminos City film Camp!

The recent Alaminos City Film Camp wraps up with the premiere of four fantastic short films! 🎬 This amazing collaboration brought together Alaminos City National High School- School Special Program for the Art-Media Arts Program, the DepEd Alaminos City Schools Division Office, Layag Productions, and North Luzon Cinema Guild Inc.

For ten days, our talented Grades 7-10 SPA Media Arts students immersed themselves in intensive training on story development, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and production management.

Huge shoutout to mentors Jerome Dulin, Sef Arcegono, and Raquel Rarang Rivera (Hundred Islands Film Festival festival director)! The students successfully produced one short film per grade level. Congratulations to all!

Cheat Sheet Shenanigans (Grade 7) Directed by Hannah Faith Tabor

An escalating academic rivalry threatens to dissolve the once-unbreakable bond between best friends, Faith and Eunice, as competition and jealousy turn their mutual support into mutual sabotage.

disconnected (Grade 8 ) Directed Giastine Lauri Aloit

During a typhoon, a 14-year-old girl trapped at home loses her phone, her only link to the outside. Confronting extreme boredom and isolation, her desperate search for entertainment leads her to a shocking truth about her reality.

isulti ang Imong Hunahuna (Grade 9) Directed by Lian Rustian Roldan

Mateo Cruz, a diligent student from Cebu, transfers to an Alaminos public school where he faces ridicule for his Bisaya accent. Despite the mockery, he bravely joins an academic debate, determined to prove that a person's intelligence transcends language and accent.

Metanoia (Grade 10) Directed by Mark Johan Bagus

A lonely young man forms a bond with his AI girlfriend, but when he meets a real girl who looks exactly like her, he must choose between illusion and reality to find real love.

These four completed and premiered films highlight the success of this collaborative initiative in cultivating emerging talent. The effort also solidifies Alaminos City's position as a growing center for media arts education and strengthens the community that supports filmmaking.
