CHM Equips Community with Lifesaving Skills! π
βWhat an impactful day! On November 7, 2025, the College of Hospitality Management (CHM) proudly hosted a vital Basic Life Support (BLS) Seminar at the CSU Gymnasium.
βWe gathered with beneficiaries from our extension program, Barangay Annafunan East officials (headed by Hon. Eddie Arugay), CHM's NSTP implementers, and our first-year students to learn essential lifesaving techniques.
The seminar offered both theoretical knowledge and practical demonstrations, ensuring participants gained essential, hands-on skills and overview of BLS in Hospitality Management.
The program was graced by Dr. Lianne Abuan, CHM Dean, who provided an introductory talk on the crucial role of Basic Life Support within the hospitality and service industry, emphasizing guest safety and crisis.
Experts from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 2 SFO1 Aileen Pauig and FO2 Adeina Bumatay conducted the core session. They provided a detailed lecture and a practical demonstration, techniques, equipping participants with potentially lifesaving skills like CPR and airway management.
βA huge thank you to our Extension Project Leader Mr. Randolph Macababbad, College Extension Coordinator Prof. Edlyn Narag, head of the medical team of BFP RO2, FSUPT Mark John Dulin, CHM Dean, Dr. Lianne Abuan, Campus Extension Coordinator, Dr. Gretchen Jallorina and CEO, Atty.
