In the recently concluded webinar titled, "Market till You Make It," Marketing Manager Julian Sison highlighted the importance of marketing in running a small business. Sison emphasized that marketing is not selling and discussed the role of market research, creating a marketing plan, and branding in developing a successful marketing strategy.

Thank you, MANILA BULLETIN ✨

Feel free to watch the FB Live videos of the two-day training here on our FB page!

Marketing is one of the most important things a business can do. The recently concluded two-day webinar hosted by the Department of Agriculture Region 2 through the GREAT Women Project 2 offered tips on how to effectively market their businesses.

15/09/2021

While a small group of loyal customers may help your small business survive, it’s winning new clients that will allow your enterprise to thrive. Being able to compete with other brands and actually sell is a result of effective marketing. Many entrepreneurs assume that marketing is simply advertising and selling, when, in fact, it’s way more than just that!

Join us on September 23 to 24 (1:00 to 5:30 PM) via Zoom as we bring you "MARKET TILL YOU MAKE IT - Market Trends and Marketing Strategy: Research, Planning, and Branding 101," an online training for women micro-entrepreneurs. Don't miss the chance to learn from our speaker, Julian Sison, a marketing manager with over 11 years of experience in strategic marketing, brand management, and market research.

"In a virtual forum titled Agile Businesses Overcome and Thrive: Keeping Afloat till Yields Actualize (ABOT! KAYA!) hosted by the Department of Agriculture Region 2 through the GREAT Women Project 2, Al-Jude Foronda, an accounting and tax consultant, said that while all firms are affected by the crisis, male and female entrepreneurs differ in their sector of operation, type of business, and business strategies.

'Women-led firms may be more sensitive to crises or have fewer support options,' Foronda noted."

"Foronda said the pandemic has provided 'a shock that is encouraging a rethinking of established systems.'"

Bicky Sakiting used to make wine out of Bignay fruits from her relatives in the Mountain Province. She learned the art and procedure of winemaking from her aunt. Her friends, whom she gifted with her homemade wine, loved its distinct taste and convinced Bicky to turn her passion into a living. She heeded the suggestion, and not long after, her earnings from occasionally selling homemade wine enabled her to put up her own business in 2015. Now, her bestselling products also include Sukang Pinasili, or spiced Bignay vinegar.

Learn more about Bicky's Food Products, also known as Vino de Isabela. They are open to resellers, too! You may reach them at 0926 203 8641. 🥂

"Aside from gender and social inequality, another challenge that women entrepreneurs face is a lack of information about establishing and maintaining a strong online presence amid a pandemic."

"A webinar like this is important not just for WMEs, but for all small entrepreneurs to know the ins and outs of social media and digital marketing to help them grow and maintain their businesses despite the challenges brought by the pandemic."
