This Independence Day, we chose to advocate for “Malayang Kalsada Para sa Lahat.”

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the different riders’ groups across Cagayan who joined us in Project ROADWISE and proudly took the Road Safety Pledge of Commitment. Your participation demonstrates that road safety is a shared responsibility and that every rider has the power to make our roads safer for everyone.

By taking this pledge, you committed to responsible driving, respect for traffic laws, and promoting a culture of discipline and safety on our roads. Together, we reaffirm that true freedom comes with responsibility—especially when every life on the road matters.

We also sincerely thank our distinguished resource speakers from Public Safety and Security Office/Traffic Management Group of Tuguegarao City and our Past President Janice Macadangdang from Land Transportation Office for sharing their expertise, experiences, and valuable insights on road safety. 🚜📀KISLAP KULIGLIG YEAR 4: Lighting the Way to Safer Roads! 📀💿🚜

JCI Tuguegarao Makasta successfully conducted Kislap Kuliglig Year 4, bringing together kulong-kulong and kuliglig owners, drivers, and barangay officials from Barangay Gosi Norte in a shared commitment to promoting road safety within our community.

As part of the program, participants attended a Road Safety Seminar where valuable knowledge and practical safety reminders were shared to help reduce road accidents and encourage responsible driving. One of the highlights of the project was the installation of recycled CDs as reflectors on kuligligs and kulong-kulong units, enhancing their visibility on the road, especially during nighttime and low-light conditions.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to 95.7 XFM Tuguegarao for their collaboration and partnership, for providing the venue and for the live coverage that helped amplify the importance of this advocacy to a wider audience.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to Northern Roads Driving School and their brilliant resource speakers for sharing their expertise and inspiring our participants to become safer and more responsible road users.

To the kuliglig and kulong-kulong owners, barangay officials, volunteers, and everyone who supported this initiative, thank you for being part of this meaningful endeavor. Together, we are proving that simple actions can create a significant impact in protecting lives and building safer communities.

Yesterday, JCI Tuguegarao Makasta had the opportunity to go live on XFM Santiago to discuss our flagship road safety initiative, Kislap Kuliglig Year 4.

Beyond promoting the project, we also shared valuable information about Junior Chamber International (JCI), who we are, our mission of developing young active citizens, and the meaningful projects and programs being implemented by both JCI Philippines and JCI Tuguegarao Makasta in our communities.

We are grateful to XFM Santiago for providing a platform to raise awareness on road safety, community development, leadership, and volunteerism. Through collaborations like this, we continue to inspire positive change and encourage more individuals to become partners in creating a better society.

Success is not about having more time, it’s about making the most of the time we have.

JCI Tuguegarao Makasta, in collaboration with JCI La Marsa, successfully conducted an enriching learning session on effective time management, equipping participants with practical tools and strategies to become more productive, focused, and impactful leaders.
