Safety and security in the laboratory are essential to protect lives, equipment, and the integrity of scientific work. By following established safety protocols, using proper protective equipment, and maintaining a secure laboratory environment, accidents, injuries, and misuse of materials can be prevented. A culture of safety and security ensures responsible experimentation, safeguards everyone on campus, and supports effective and ethical scientific research.

This overview was further strengthened by the valuable discussions of our speakers: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧. 𝘔𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘉. 𝘛𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘯, who emphasized 𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮, and 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧.
