SACE & SHAS COLLABORATE IN THE TREE LEGACY PROGRAM | October 17, 2026

Last Saturday, the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE) and the School of Health and Allied Sciences (SHAS) joined forces for the Tree Legacy Program at Pinacanauan na Tuguegarao, featuring site preparation and a clean-up drive.

This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and community engagement. Together, we take meaningful steps toward a greener and healthier future.

𝐈𝐏 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐧, 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚, 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧

In celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Month, the Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies Office, together with all the academic departments of the University, brought its advocacies to the IP community of Agugaddan, Peñablanca, Cagayan, through a meaningful day of immersion, dialogue, and collaborative community engagement.

With the participation of each department and its student representatives, the immersion provided a platform to discuss and address community concerns through their respective areas of commitment.

Beyond the activities, the immersion strengthened the University's commitment to listening to the community, understanding its needs, and working together toward meaningful and sustainable initiatives. It also provided an opportunity for student representatives to appreciate the importance of cultural sensitivity, solidarity, and service in engaging with Indigenous Peoples.

In the spirit of the CICM mission, we continue to walk with communities, uphold human dignity, and become a light to others through service that respects culture, empowers people, and responds to genuine community needs.

One community, shared advocacies, and a commitment to serve.

IP Sunday | CECAPehan

As part of the celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Month, the Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies Office brought the Louisian community together through CECAPehan.

Yesterday, October 11, 2026, we celebrated IP Sunday through the Bibingka Festival, honoring the rich traditions and cultural heritage of our Indigenous Peoples. 🍚✨

And the celebration continues today! Drop by the CECA Office and enjoy FREE COFFEE ☕🤎 Let’s take a moment to connect, share conversations, and celebrate the spirit of community over a warm cup of coffee.

Uniting for a meaningful send-off at the CICM Student Leadership Convergence 2026!

On October 9, 2026, the final day of the CICM PSN Student Leadership Convergence 2026 organized by CICM PSN Student Affairs Cluster, the CICM PSN Community Engagement Cluster and the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) joined the gathering for a significant closing plenary session before the delegates’ afternoon departure!

As the final morning session, 𝘿𝙧. 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙯, the Director of the Community Engagement and Indigenous Peoples Studies Center of Saint Mary’s University, also representing the PNVSCA National Volunteerism Resource Pool, presented Volunteerism in Action. His session focused on the structural frameworks in Volunteerism.

The talk was immediately followed by a workshop on the key components of an effective Volunteer Management Program, providing CICM student leaders with practical skills prior to concluding the convergence.
