In celebration of the Philippine Architecture Festival โ€“ National Architecture Month (PAFNAM), the UAP Cagayan Valley Chapter, in collaboration with the UAP Cagayan North Chapter, successfully held Arkilympics 2025 with the theme "Buklod 2025: Habi at Haligi โ€“ Weaving Strength & Sustainability in Architecture."

The inter-chapter sportsfest strengthened camaraderie, teamwork, and fellowship through friendly competitions in Basketball, Pickleball, Badminton, Chess, and Mobile Legends. The event highlighted the values of sportsmanship, unity, and collaboration that extend beyond the practice of architecture.

UAP Cagayan Valley emerged victorious in Pickleball, Chess, and Mobile Legends, while UAP Cagayan North claimed the titles in Basketball and Badminton, showcasing the outstanding participation and competitive spirit of both chapters.

Arkilympics 2025 served as a meaningful celebration of unity, wellness, and professional fellowship, further strengthening the partnership between the two chapters.

๐Ÿ“ Solana, Cagayan

Representatives from UAP Cagayan Valley and UAP Cagayan North, together with DPWH representatives, conducted a joint site inspection for the proposed UAP District A1B Marker in front of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Office in Solana, Cagayan.

Representing UAP Cagayan Valley was Chapter Secretary Ar. Rommel Palatan, while UAP Cagayan North was represented by Chapter President Ar. Odette De Leon. The inspection focused on evaluating the site's suitability, visibility, accessibility, and compliance with infrastructure and safety requirements. The team also coordinated the marker's final placement and discussed the necessary preparations for its installation.

The successful site visit marked an important milestone toward the realization and launching of the UAP District A1B Marker, symbolizing unity and collaboration among the chapters within the district.

The UAP Graduate Auxiliary (UAPGA) successfully conducted its 1st Virtual General Membership Meeting, bringing together graduate members to discuss key concerns affecting aspiring architects.

Supporting the activity were Ar. Jam April H. Furigay, Chapter President of UAP Cagayan Valley, and Ar. Odelyne De Leon, Chapter President of UAP Cagayan North, who shared valuable insights on fair compensation, professional work ethics, and the Diversified Architectural Experience (DAE). Their guidance emphasized the importance of mentorship, transparency, and professionalism in preparing graduates for architectural practice.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from both chapters and UAPGA to continue collaborating in empowering and supporting the next generation of architects.

Under the theme โ€œSANDAG: Championing Justice to the Architectural Profession,โ€ the UAP National Conference on Architecture (NCA) 2025 brought together architects from across the country for three days of learning, collaboration, and professional fellowship.

Representing the UAP Cagayan Valley Chapter were Chapter President Ar. Jam April H. Furigay and four (4) chapter members, who actively participated in the conference's major activities, including the Chapter Presidents' Assembly, National Board of Directors Meeting, CPD seminars, General Assembly, Area Town Hall Meetings, RegionEx 2025, and the architectural tours of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.

The conference served as a valuable platform for professional development, knowledge sharing, and strengthening the chapter's commitment to upholding the ideals of the United Architects of the Philippines.

Proud moment for the UAP Cagayan Valley Chapter!

During The UAP Inaugurals 2026 held at Solaire Resort North, Quezon City on June 21, 2026, our chapter representatives were officially inducted into their respective leadership positions for Fiscal Year 2026โ€“2027.

The UAP Inaugurals is the annual formal induction ceremony of the United Architects of the Philippines, marking the official assumption of office of the newly elected national officers, executive officials, district directors, and chapter presidents across the country. It symbolizes a renewed commitment to ethical practice, principled leadership, and dedicated service to the architectural profession.

With this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œMovers of Progress 2.0,โ€ the event highlighted innovation, collaboration, and the continuing role of architects in shaping resilient and progressive communities.
