𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬, 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

The SPUPCDCFI EcoScouts turned passion into powerful action as they took on the breathtaking Marag Valley for an unforgettable Earth Month celebration.

From a large scale clean up drive that helped restore the valley’s natural beauty, to an exciting segregation game that proved sustainability can be both fun and meaningful, every moment was filled with purpose and energy.

The day continued with insightful discussions on proper solid waste segregation and the significance of the BRyA Biosphere Reserve of the yApayaos, presented by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, led by MARCELO MENOR, Head of ENRD, PLGU Apayao, deepening awareness and strengthening environmental responsibility. EcoScout Leaders also inspired everyone with a powerful message on the global mission of Earth Month and the importance of consistent energy conservation.

To cap it all off, the ECO QUIZ BEE ignited minds and united hearts, showcasing knowledge, teamwork, and a passion for the planet. Today’s youth didn’t just participate, they proved they are ready to lead the change.

From action to awareness, from learning to leadership, this is the true spirit of an EcoScout. And this is only the beginning. We rise, we take action, and we stand as one to protect the Earth.

"Clean and Green Initiative in Action"

SPUPCDCFI, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Apayao, successfully conducted the Clean and Green (Non-Wood) Charcoal Production Training on February 20, 2026, at San Jose, Baggao, Cagayan. The activity was attended by Eco-Scouts, Foresters, and Community Volunteers who actively participated in the hands-on learning sessions.

This initiative aims to empower parents and youth in Apayao with practical skills in clean and green charcoal production—transforming agricultural waste into sustainable income opportunities while promoting environmental protection and disaster preparedness.

In addition, through the initiative of the MDRRMO Baggao, Cagayan, participants were also capacitated on Bamboo Propagation, further strengthening community resilience and environmental sustainability efforts.

“When communities turn waste into worth, they don’t just create income—they cultivate hope, resilience, and a greener future.”

Together, we build greener communities and a more sustainable future for the next generation.
