They call it Pride month. But biblically, pride is not something to be paraded. It was pride that turned an angel into a devil. Pride says “My will be done.” The Gospel says “Thy will be done.”
The culture calls it love. But love does not lie. Love does not clap when we sprint toward cliffs. “Faithful are the wounds of a friend,” Proverbs 27:6 says. If love cannot speak the truth, it is not love. It is flattery dressed up as compassion.
We are told that to be kind, we must affirm. But Jesus never affirmed sin to make sinners feel safe. He loved sinners enough to die for them and call them to repentance. That is the model.
Scripture says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6. We do not wave flags for what nailed our Savior to a cross.
This is not about hate. It is about eternity. And eternity is too important to get wrong. Jesus did not come to celebrate what separates us from God. He came to set captives free.
To those in the LGBTQ+ community: we do not hate you. We are not better than you. We are beggars pointing to bread. You are not beyond hope. But there is only one Name under Heaven given to men by which we must be saved. It is not tolerance. It is not affirmation. It is Jesus.
Sin is not something to be celebrated. It is something to be forgiven. And the good news is, Jesus still forgives sinners who come to Him in humility. Every month belongs to Him.
Repent. Believe. Be free.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8.

Remember:
Jesus loves the sinners but he hates sin.
