💡 OPLAN DAGITAB - BIGAY LIWANAG 2026 💡

Sometimes, the smallest light can chase away the biggest darkness. 💡

This is what "Oplan Dagitab – Bigay Liwanag" taught us.

We went to the Agta community in Basao, Gattaran—17 households, no regular electricity, relying on kerosene lamps and paying just to charge phones. And we thought, what if we could give them something simple? Something that runs on the sun. No wires. No complicated setups. Just light. ✨

So we did.

Each family received a portable solar radio with light, plus solar flood lights for their work area, and a little grocery pack. Not a grand solution. But a honest one.

Because here's the thing about kindness: you don't need to change the whole world. Just light up one home at a time. 🌏➡️🏠

Special thanks to those who didn't hesitate to help:

👉 Engr. Jerson Maglunob, Chapter President of IIEE UAE Chapter – for crossing borders to bring light back home.
👉 Engr. Ian C. Pagulayan and the CSU Electrical Engineering Department – for proving that education truly serves the community.
👉 Brgy. Captain Gilbert Javier Guillermo – for welcoming us and standing with your people.
👉 Engr. Harold Juan – for ccordinating the activity in the Basao Brgy. Captain and Agta Chieftain.

And to every chapter officers, electrical practicioners, students, every donor, every hand that made this happen – thank you for remembering that our skills mean nothing if not shared.

So here's a bit of wisdom to end:
"You don't need to be a hero to bring light. You just need to care enough to show up." 🌞
