𝙆𝘼𝙋𝙋𝘼-𝙏𝙄𝙍𝘼𝙉: 𝘼 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙚

We built faster systems and bigger industries, but somewhere along the way, we lost how we treat each other.

Community used to mean showing up for a shared cause. People formed bonds out of respect and genuine care, where you didn't have to bleed, keep secrets, or endure physical abuse just to feel like you belonged.

Now, "brotherhood" gets thrown around to justify something far darker. It has become a cover for secret meetings, hazing, and mob mentality. Young people are getting hurt, and sometimes permanently, just to fit in. It is no longer just a discipline problem; it erodes the trust of the very institutions supposed to keep our youth safe.

From the creator of the award-winning "𝙈𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙮: 𝘼 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨", which raked in major awards at the 73rd FAMAS Awards—comes "𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐚-𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧." A movie about brotherhood, protection, and belonging, Kappa-Tiran brings you closer to the journey of university students aspiring to join one of the most prestigious fraternities on campus. But what begins as a quest for acceptance quickly descends into a nightmare of physical and psychological torment.

True brotherhood is measured by how much you protect each other, not how much pain you can endure together. As a searing indictment of a culture that confuses violence with devotion, "Kappa-Tiran" asks: How much are we willing to endure and inflict just to belong?

With Nunungan as one of its principal filming locations, this movie is not only a story about brotherhood, but also a showcase of the cultural facets of the locality. Its picturesque mountains and inviting landscapes offer a cinematic experience to moviegoers, and with its upcoming premiere at the Manila International Film Festival, it serves as an impeccable promotion of the beauty of Province of Lanao del Norte.

Thus, Lanao del Norte League of Local Tourism Officers (LLTO) Inc. expresses its full support for the world premiere of "Kappa-Tiran" in the United States on September 3–6, 2026.

Congratulations to the multi-hyphenate leader-businessman Hon. Marcos Mamay, Vice-Mayor of LGU Nunungan, and the Vice President of the Vice Mayors' League of the Philippines and executive producer of Mamay Productions, on this historic milestone as an independent film producer!

From the Southern Philippines to its World Premiere in America, "Kappa-Tiran" is another masterpiece destined to earn recognition and acclaim both locally and internationally.

The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) is the corporate marketing and promotions arm of the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT), responsible for driving domestic and international tourism, visitor arrivals, and investments.

They conduct meaningful collaborations among public and private tourism institutions. They provide high-level trainings specifically target-segmented, whose workshops are only for selection.

The Lanao del Norte League of Local Tourism Officers commends the delegation of LGU NUNUNGAN, through their Tourism Officer, who is also the league's current president, for the Marketing Promotion of Local Destinations Workshop in Zamboanga City on August 2-7, 2026 organized by Tourism Promotions Board of the Department of Tourism.

This representation is a win for Lanao del Norte as far as sustainable tourism is concerned - capacitating tourism workforce to advance dynamic and inclusive tourism governance.

The Local Government Unit of Nunungan extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region X for selecting our Tourism Officer, Mr. Bran Darius Valdehueza, as the official representative of Lanao del Norte for the Marketing Promotion of Local Destinations Workshop, taking place from August 2–7, 2026, in Zamboanga City, organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines.

As a newly reclassified 1st Class Municipality (upgraded from 3rd Class), high-level training workshops like this serve as vital avenues for capacitating our local workforce - especially as Nunungan prepares to unlock its vast, untapped tourism potential.

This participation marks the second time that Nunungan has stepped up to represent the Land of Beauty and Bounty in regional tourism promotion and sustainable development modules (following our first delegation in Davao City in 2025.)

This milestone is a direct reflection of the dynamic vision of Mayor Sittie Nor-Alliah B. Mamay and Vice Mayor Marcos Mamay, whose relentless pursuit of inclusive and sustainable tourism development continues to inspire the entire local workforce. 💪🙏
