The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) is the corporate marketing and promotions arm of the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT), responsible for driving domestic and international tourism, visitor arrivals, and investments.

They conduct meaningful collaborations among public and private tourism institutions. They provide high-level trainings specifically target-segmented, whose workshops are only for selection.

The Lanao del Norte League of Local Tourism Officers commends the delegation of LGU NUNUNGAN, through their Tourism Officer, who is also the league's current president, for the Marketing Promotion of Local Destinations Workshop in Zamboanga City on August 2-7, 2026 organized by Tourism Promotions Board of the Department of Tourism.

This representation is a win for Lanao del Norte as far as sustainable tourism is concerned - capacitating tourism workforce to advance dynamic and inclusive tourism governance.

The Local Government Unit of Nunungan extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region X for selecting our Tourism Officer, Mr. Bran Darius Valdehueza, as the official representative of Lanao del Norte for the Marketing Promotion of Local Destinations Workshop, taking place from August 2–7, 2026, in Zamboanga City, organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines.

​As a newly reclassified 1st Class Municipality (upgraded from 3rd Class), high-level training workshops like this serve as vital avenues for capacitating our local workforce - especially as Nunungan prepares to unlock its vast, untapped tourism potential.

​This participation marks the second time that Nunungan has stepped up to represent the Land of Beauty and Bounty in regional tourism promotion and sustainable development modules (following our first delegation in Davao City in 2025.)

​This milestone is a direct reflection of the dynamic vision of Mayor Sittie Nor-Alliah B. Mamay and Vice Mayor Marcos Mamay, whose relentless pursuit of inclusive and sustainable tourism development continues to inspire the entire local workforce. 💪🙏

In a historic milestone for the Municipality of Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte—fondly recognized as the province's "Mother Town" before the division of Lanao into Sur and Norte—the community proudly commemorated its Nonagenarian (90th) Anniversary on July 1, 2026.

​Graced by high-profile dignitaries from national agencies and spearheaded by Local Chief Executive, Mayor Lorenzo Manigos, the culmination of the festivities served as a grand prelude to the town's march toward its centennial. It was a powerful reflection of nearly a century defined by resilience, dynamic leadership, and a relentless pursuit of progress.

​To demonstrate solidarity with Kolambugan’s Municipal Tourism Officer, Mr. Vance Ocitaj Esalab, and to champion local cultural tourism, the Lanao del Norte League of Local Tourism Officers turned out in full force. League officials lent their expertise by serving as the distinguished panel of judges for the highly anticipated Sarimanok Float Festival and Sarimanok Lantern Competition.

​The league sent a formidable delegation, led by its President, Mr. Bran Darius Valdehueza (Tourism Officer of LGU Nunungan), who served as the Chairman of the Board. He was joined by League Vice President and Shariah Lawyer, Atty. Abdul Aziz Gayampal (Tourism Officer of LGU Munai), alongside Mr. Charlie CH (the newly appointed Tourism Officer I of LGU Lala), to meticulously evaluate the stunning, culturally rich entries.
