Members of the LANORTE MOUNTAINEERING CLUB, INC. (LAMOC) successfully completed the Basic Tour Guiding Training held on February 24โ26, 2026 at the MCC Complex in Tubod.
The three-day training was conducted in partnership with the Department of Tourism โ Northern Mindanao and the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, bringing together local tourism advocates and outdoor leaders committed to raising the standard of guided experiences in the province.
Throughout the sessions, participants were equipped with essential skills in tour guiding fundamentals, heritage interpretation, customer service, safety and emergency response, and responsible tourism practices. The activity also emphasized the role of tour guides as storytellers and frontliners in promoting the natural beauty, culture, and history of Lanao del Norte.
For LAMOC members, the training was more than a certification, it was a meaningful step toward professional growth. Known for championing responsible mountaineering and environmental conservation, the organization continues to invest in capacity-building initiatives to better serve both local and visiting adventurers.
By strengthening their knowledge and skills, LAMOC members are now better prepared to provide safe, informative, and memorable experiences on the trails, ensuring that every climb tells a story and every visitor feels the warmth of Lanao del Norteโs hospitality.
