DID YOU KNOW? 🌟

The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) has a rich history of empowering out-of-school and disadvantaged Filipino youth across the nation!

Here are key historical milestones that shaped our organization:

📜 July 29, 1974 — The Beginning PYAP was first officially incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under its original name, Pag-asa Youth Movement, Inc. (PYM), as a barangay-based youth affiliate of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

🔄 April 12, 1996 — Rebranding & Expansion To reflect dynamic, expanded capability-building programs, PYM officially rebranded and re-registered with the SEC (Reg. No. 01328) as the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PYAP).

✊ PYAP - AKO (Ang Kabataang Organisado) Under the DSWD Unlad-Kabataan Program framework, the tag AKO (Ang Kabataang Organisado) was integrated into our official National Constitution and By-Laws—symbolizing leadership unity, empowerment, and structured grassroots governance across all local chapters!

🏛️ Nationwide Federation Structure Today, PYAP operates across five federated levels—Barangay, Municipal/City, Provincial, Regional, and National—giving every young Filipino a voice in community development and nation-building!

Today, July 26, 2026, marks our 1st Anniversary! 🎉

From our humble beginnings in Brgy. Dalama, Salong, and Matampay-Ilaya, to serving vulnerable youth at the PWCC, residents at BJMP Baroy, and young learners at Tubod Kiddie School—it has been an incredible journey of empowering young minds through reading.

We are deeply proud to see our collective effort recognized as a Best Practice in Region X during the PYAP-AKO Regional Anniversary! 🏆
