From Learning to Leading: Youth Driving Community Awareness
In partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of the Municipality of Tubigon, Project CONEC (Creating a safer ONline environment for Every Child) successfully conducted a 3-day training on Basic Facilitation, Organizing, and Planning for 15 youth members from the Tubigon Youth Peer Educators (TYPE), enhancing the participants’ competencies in leading discussions, coordinating initiatives, and program planning.
The participants have also deepened their understanding of Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and developed creative strategies to raise awareness in their communities. TYPE members are set to roll out community education sessions across Tubigon's 34 barangays, with the Municipality of Tubigon providing support for these efforts as a counterpart to Project CONEC’s initiatives.

Sa bawat boses na nagsasalita, may pagbabago na nagsisimula. Ang kababaihan ay hindi lamang tagapagdala ng lakas at inspirasyon sila rin ay mga lider at tagapagtaguyod ng kabataan at ng karapatan ng bawat bata.

Ngayong Buwan ng Kababaihan, ipinagdiriwang natin ang mga kababaihang patuloy na tumatayo, nagsasalita, at kumikilos upang protektahan ang kabataan at itaguyod ang isang komunidad na ligtas, may malasakit, at may pag-asa.

Kapag ang kababaihan ay nagkakaisa at lumalaban para sa tama, mas nagiging matatag ang kinabukasan ng susunod na henerasyon.

This milestone reminds us that being a TYPE member is not just about the advocacies we have, it’s about showing up for the community, sharing our talents, and making a difference in our own creative ways.

Their design beautifully tells the story of Tubigon, its heart, its people, and its dreams. The blue and yellow proudly reflect the town’s colors: blue for the sea that surrounds and sustains it, and yellow for hope and a brighter tomorrow.

Every detail was thoughtfully chosen from the rope symbolizing unity and Tubigon’s strength as a port town, to the ship wheels honoring its deep maritime roots. At the center, the image of a boy and girl dancing captures the joyful spirit of the Tanda Festival in honor of San Isidro Labrador, a beautiful reflection of faith and community.

The blue crab represents the town’s rich marine life and hardworking fisherfolk. The mountains and volcanic plug highlight its natural beauty and tourism potential. The rice fields pay tribute to farmers, while the loomweave celebrates local craftsmanship and tradition. The upward arrow and waves remind us of progress, resilience, and the strength that comes from the sea.

This isn’t just a design, it’s a story of Tubigon and its people.

🎶 A Fusion of Music and Advocacy 💙

Last February 14, 2026, Tubigon’s youth truly shined! Two incredible bands took the stage to support our KIDS BE SAFE Project, reminding everyone that talent and advocacy can go hand in hand.

A huge thank you to Cup Noodles and Incognito Band for sharing your music and inspiring our youth. Your performances weren’t just entertainment they were a celebration of creativity, courage, and the bright future that our young people hold. ✨

Indeed, this was by the youth, for the youth, proof that when passion meets purpose, amazing things happen. 🌟

Here in Tubigon, we see a generation ready to lead, inspire, and make a difference! 💪

ANG TINGOG SA KABATAN-ONAN SA TUBIGON🎤💖

Last February 14, 2026, we had a truly inspiring day with the youth of Tubigon—a day where learning went hand in hand with reflection, courage, and hope. Through the KIDS BE SAFE Project, our youth didn’t just listen they were empowered to understand themselves, their choices, and the world around them.

We humbly thank our amazing resource speakers who guided our discussions beyond OSAEC, HIV/AIDS, and Teenage Pregnancy. Most importantly, they helped our youth explore what true love really is through the eyes of God and psychology teaching that love is not only about feelings, but about respect, care, empathy, and responsibility toward oneself and others. 💖

As we celebrate Love Month with a purpose, the Tubigon Youth Peer Educators (TYPE) stand strong for inclusivity and inclusive protection, continuously strengthening our advocacy to ensure that no child is left behind in the dark shadows. Every child deserves to be aware, educated, protected, and empowered.

We continue to amplify our advocacy against OSAEC, teenage pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS—working together to build a safer and brighter future for all children.

Daghang salamat to Terre des Hommes Netherlands in the Philippines for providing us with these meaningful materials that will always remind the Tubigon youth of our purpose to continuously spread awareness, stand firm, and use our voices for change.
