With the summer heat putting a strain on our national power grid, the Philippine Red Cross encourages every household to participate in Earth Hour. Reducing our load for just 60 minutes on March 28 at 8:30 PM is a practical act of patriotism.

Let’s ensure energy security for the hospitals and emergency services that need it most.

🚨πŸ”₯ β€œPreparedness today ensures safety tomorrow.”

The College Red Cross Youth (RCY) – Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) Trento Campus proudly took part in the successful conduct of the Fire and Earthquake Drill, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

Together with our RCY Adviser, Ma’am Curato Carmel, and RCY President Michelle Garciano, a total of fourteen (14) Red Cross Youth volunteers actively participated and supported the activity. The drill provided valuable learning experiences, including the proper ex*****on of the β€œDuck, Cover, and Hold” technique and the correct use of a fire extinguisherβ€”essential skills in responding to emergency situations.

This activity highlights the importance of preparedness, awareness, and teamwork in ensuring safety within our campus community. As RCY volunteers, we remain committed to promoting life-saving knowledge and strengthening our readiness in times of disaster.

On January 23, 2026, the College Red Cross Youth (RCY) actively took part in the orientation on the process flow for Registered Student Organization (RSO)-initiated off-campus co-curricular activities, led by Mr. Leopich Gerald M. Moreno, In-Charge of Student Development.

The orientation provided clear guidance on the proper procedures, requirements, and responsibilities that student organizations must follow to ensure that activities conducted on or off campus are safe, organized, and duly approved. Along with fellow RSOs such as The Magnate, Supreme Student Government (SSG), and COMELEC, RCY gained valuable insights that will strengthen responsible leadership and compliance.

In line with our commitment to health and service, the RCY also distributed Health Kits to all first-year students, promoting wellness and preparedness within the campus community.

This activity reflects our continued dedication to informed leadership, student welfare, and meaningful service. ❀️
