Although Manila is in the middle of the rainy season, it rarely rains all day.
A typical day starts with sunshine, followed by a heavy tropical downpour for an hour or two in the afternoon or early evening, and then the skies often clear again.
That's just everyday life in the tropics.

But even in this kind of difficult situation, we were able to experience another side of the local culture here. This is something that can especially happen during the rainy season.
The locals handle these moments with a smile, showing us their resilience and positive spirit.
