Last May 12, 2026, students from Southern Leyte State University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology experienced another exciting and meaningful day filled with academic learning, cultural interaction, and international friendship as part of the HUTECH – SLSU Academic Exchange and Cultural Immersion Program. 💙🇵🇭🇻🇳

The morning activity featured an engaging campus tour around HUTECH’s Thu Duc Campus, where SLSU students explored the university’s advanced laboratories, modern facilities, and impressive library spaces. The dynamic and innovative learning environment left a remarkable impression on the Filipino delegates and provided them with a glimpse of HUTECH’s commitment to academic excellence and student development. 🤝🧡

🎤 Workshop: “Marketing Trends in Vietnam”
The afternoon became even more interactive during the workshop held at Room A-08.10 led by Dr. Nguyen Tien Thanh. Students from both universities exchanged ideas and perspectives on emerging marketing trends and innovations in Vietnam for 2026.

The workshop encouraged:
✨ Cross-cultural collaboration and communication
✨ Exchange of global and multicultural perspectives
✨ Interactive discussions and idea sharing
✨ Stronger connections between Vietnamese and Filipino students

Day 2 of the program truly became a memorable experience that not only expanded students’ knowledge but also strengthened friendships and cultural understanding beyond borders. 🌈✨

🌏✨ DAY 1 | HUTECH – SLSU Academic Exchange and Cultural Immersion Program ✨🌏

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗦𝗢𝗖 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 | Bridging Cultures, Building Connections: HUTECH – SLSU Academic Exchange Program Officially Opens

Today marks the official opening of the “Academic Exchange and Cultural Immersion Program: HUTECH – SLSU”, a meaningful collaboration between the students and faculty of the Southern Leyte State University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

Held at the Liberty Hall, Saigon Campus on May 11, 2026, the opening ceremony became more than just a formal gathering—it became the start of a journey filled with learning, friendship, cultural appreciation, and international collaboration between Vietnam and the Philippines. 🇻🇳🇵🇭

The event was graced by distinguished delegates and administrators from both universities, including representatives from External Linkages and International Affairs, BS Information Technology, BS Business Administration, and the Department of Marketing – International Business. Inspiring messages from university leaders highlighted the importance of global partnerships, academic excellence, and cultural understanding in shaping future professionals and leaders.

One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the proud singing of the national anthems of both countries, symbolizing unity and mutual respect. Meaningful exchanges of gifts between HUTECH and SLSU representatives further strengthened the partnership and friendship between the two institutions.

The program also featured lively conversations, interactions, and musical exchanges that brought students closer together despite differences in language and culture. Through these shared experiences, participants were able to connect, learn, and celebrate diversity in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

As members of the Computer Society, we are honored to witness and take part in this remarkable international experience that promotes academic growth, cultural immersion, collaboration, and global competence. 💙💻

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗦𝗢𝗖 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 | COMPUTER SOCIETY GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND LEADERSHIP ELECTION 2026

On May 8, 2026, the Computer Society successfully held its General Assembly and Leadership Election 2026, an activity centered on transparency, accountability, inclusivity, and the organization's leadership transition.

The program officially began with an opening prayer, singing of the national anthem, and welcome remarks, creating a respectful and engaging environment for all members. The assembly continued with the presentation of the Secretary's Accomplishment Report and the Treasurer's Financial Report, ensuring that every member was informed about the organization’s achievements, activities, and financial status throughout the academic year.

The highlight of the event was the Election Proper, where members actively participated in nominating and electing the next set of leaders of the Computer Society. The election process was conducted fairly and transparently, giving all candidates equal opportunity to present themselves and their platforms.

In recognition of their dedication and service, certificates were also awarded to the outgoing officers for their contributions and commitment to the organization during their term. Additional announcements were discussed, including another meeting during the next school opening together with the incoming freshmen, where the First Year Representatives and SSC Representatives will also be elected by year level.
