OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Article II Section 7 of the Constitution and By Laws of the Tiwi Municipal Employees Organization (TIMUNEO) states that the organization commits itself to promote the moral well-being of all the members;
We, Officers of TIMUNEO, strongly condemn the recent Anonymous Posting in the Facebook Group of BARTERINDA TIWI AREA dated January 20, 2026 at around 8:25 PM stating the following:
“mga hayup kamo.,, saro sa nagtatago kang pirak kang partially damage.. dae nindo pagbulsahon an!.. itao nindo sa tunay na nangangaipo kang pirak! Kanang kamay ni mayor nindong Jojo!!!!!...”
In this post, there is a photo of our fellow government employee and a member of our union uploaded along with the caption. This publication is false and misleading. The individual whose photograph was uploaded had no participation or authority in the validation process, nor in the approval or release of assistance for households with partially damaged houses.
The post is malicious and morally damaging to our fellow employee which was accused of pocketing funds for partially damaged beneficiaries;
It is a clear violation of RA10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act) in which there is an act Defamatory Imputation shared with a third party through Facebook and was done with ill intent or disregard for truth, directed at a specific individual, tends to cause disgrace through digital platform;
We plea to the admin of the above-mentioned page to disclose the information of the Anonymous Post for further legal actions.
This union will not tolerate any form of malicious, false, or morally damaging publication.
Article 11 Sec 1 of 1987 Constitution states that public office is a public trust. Therefore, we, as government employees of the Local Government Unit, shall continue to uphold truth, integrity, and transparency in the discharge of our duties and remain steadfast in our commitment to serve the public.
