This campaign was born from a passion for art and a commitment to protect our marine ecosystems— and it thrived because of the incredible people who stood with us. This may be the final chapter of this project, but the wave of awareness we started together will keep moving forward!

Rodolfo Rolle is a fisherman and barangay councilor from Batangas. He speaks about the challenges faced by small scale fishermen who depends on the ocean for their livelihood and their families’ survival.

They are facing unfair regulations, big commercial fishing operations, and illegal fishing that threaten their livelihood. In spite of these, he continues to strive for sustainable fishing, better environmental conservation, and people’s efforts to protect coral reefs and have a better future for coastal livelihoods.

This mural is more than just a piece of art, it’s the result of countless hands coming together driven by a shared passion for protecting our oceans. What was once discarded waste has now been transformed into a powerful message of sustainability and change.

From February 24 to 28, the mural-making process took place, bringing together volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to turn this vision into reality. More than just a visual statement, this final piece is a reminder of our responsibility to care for our marine ecosystem. It represents the effort, creativity, and commitment of everyone who took part—turning what could have been pollution into something meaningful and inspiring.

A heartfelt thank you to , our incredible partner in this initiative and Tingloy Senior High School. Your guidance, support, and unwavering dedication to marine conservation made this possible. Together, we’ve shown that through community, creativity, and action, we can make a difference—one mural, one cleanup, and one step at a time.

The CreOcean Coastal Clean-Up on February 18, 2025, at Puting Buhangin, Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Tingloy, Batangas, brought together volunteers dedicated to protecting our marine environment.
