โEveryone of us has a story to tell. Lahat tayo may kwentong 4-H Club.โ These heartfelt words from Mr. Vianney T. Ojerio, OIC-Center Director of ATI-RTC VII and former Executive Vice President of the 4-H Club of the Philippines, captured the spirit of his talk titled "Your Voice, Your Future: Strengthening Civic Engagement in Agriculture." Addressing a crowd of young leaders and aspiring agri-entrepreneurs, Mr. Ojerio emphasized that behind every 4-H member is a journey โ one that reflects growth, resilience, and community impact.
In his message, Mr. Ojerio challenged the youth to take ownership of their roles in shaping the future of agriculture, not only through farming or business but through active civic participation. He highlighted the importance of using their voices to influence policy, promote sustainability, and inspire fellow youth to pursue careers in agriculture. By sharing their personal "kwento ng 4-H," members can connect with communities, break misconceptions about farming, and showcase agriculture as a dynamic, modern, and meaningful path.
As a seasoned leader in both local governance and agricultural training, Mr. Ojerioโs message was clear: the future of agriculture lies not only in technology or capital, but in people โ especially the youth. Their stories, when heard and empowered, can transform not just fields and farms, but the very fabric of rural development in the Philippines. Through platforms like 4-H, young voices can truly become the seeds of change.
