The holidays remind us that even the smallest act of kindness can create ripples of change. In this spirit of compassion and unity, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ ๐‡๐Ž๐๐„ opens its doors to everyone who believes in the power of givingโ€”not just to give gifts, but to uplift lives and restore hope.

This initiative is driven by a simple yet meaningful goal: to reach out to individuals and families in need and let them feel that they are remembered, valued, and supported, especially during this season of celebration.

In line with the celebration of National Childrenโ€™s Month (NCM) and National Studentsโ€™ Day (NSD), the Mr. and Ms. Youth Advocate 2025 was successfully held on December 13, 2025, at San Rafael National High School โ€“ Main Campus, bringing together empowered and purpose-driven learners from various secondary schools across Tigaon District. The event highlighted the confidence, leadership, and social awareness of the youth as they embodied the values of advocacy, responsibility, and service.

The success of the activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of dedicated individuals and stakeholders. Sincere appreciation is extended to the Technical and Sounds Team led by Sir Phil, and Lights by Sir Mar. Gratitude is also given to the esteemed Panel of Judgesโ€”Maโ€™am Queen D. Padron, Sir Richard C. Catolico, and Ms. Christine Rica C. Serniasโ€”for their time, expertise, and fair judgment throughout the competition.

Special recognition is likewise given to the supportive School Heads: Joel C. Dela Vega (SRNHS), Nerwin R. Ibarrientos (TNHS), Amalia M. Laurel (PAINHS), Joel P. Batucan (LSNHS), Robert S. Ablao (DRVPJMNHS), and Hilda M. Carullo (ECNHS), as well as the committed SSLG Teacher-Advisers from the participating schools for their guidance and continuous support. Heartfelt thanks are also extended to Maโ€™am Minnie E. Talaguit, PhD, PSDS, for her invaluable leadership and encouragement.

Creative and technical excellence were made possible through the Design by Nico Dominic Plazo, the dedicated Angels and Choreographersโ€”John Manuel San Isidro, Kyle Bermejo, and Joshua Bravante of the SRNHS Arts and Design/SINRAW Performing Arts Clubโ€”and the talented Performers from the SPA Dance Discipline and Mr. Manuel Certeza of Cabalinadan High School.

The event also celebrated outstanding youth advocates who exemplified excellence and purpose. Honored awardees included winners in Best in Production Number, Best in Advocacy, Mr. and Ms. FB Popular, Peopleโ€™s Choice Award, Best in Modern Wear, and Best in School Uniform, recognizing their remarkable performances, strong advocacy, and positive influence among peers.

In line with the District Celebration of National Studentsโ€™ Day (NSD) and National Childrenโ€™s Month (NCM) 2025, a successful Learnersโ€™ Congress was recently held at the Barangay San Rafael Covered Court, bringing together student leaders from across the district to amplify youth voice, leadership, and active participation in nation-building.

The activity gathered student representatives from six (6) out of the eight (8) secondary schools in the Tigaon District and was anchored on the theme, โ€œIsang Puso, Isang Tinig: Lakas ng Kabataang Tigaeรฑo, Boses na Huwaran,โ€ highlighting unity, leadership, and the transformative power of the youth as role models in their communities.

The morning session featured insightful talks from distinguished youth leaders and speakers. Ms. Carlyn S. Villanueva opened the congress with a meaningful discussion on โ€œChange the Current 3.0 Re-Echo,โ€ encouraging learners to take initiative and become catalysts of positive change in their respective schools and communities. This was followed by Ms. Kyla Nicole M. Artiaga, District Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government (DFSSLG) President and Goa Science High School President, who delivered a re-echo of her learning from the Regional Learnersโ€™ Congress Educo Talk 2025 through her topic, โ€œHow to Become an Effective Program Manager.โ€ She emphasized strategic planning, leadership accountability, and youth-driven governance. Completing the morning plenary was Ms. Nouella Mell Jean Cledoro, SK Federation Focal Person, who inspired participants with her talk entitled โ€œEmpowering Kabataang Tigaeรฑo: Leadership Rooted in Culture and Community Pride,โ€ underscoring the importance of cultural identity and community involvement in youth leadership.

In the afternoon, the congress transitioned into interactive activities designed to foster camaraderie and open dialogue among participants. Social mixers such as โ€œDiba Teh,โ€ Human Bingo, and a Studentsโ€™ Forum provided a safe and engaging space for learners to express ideas, share experiences, and strengthen inter-school connections.

The Studentsโ€™ Forum featured compelling discussions led by young leaders from different districts. Ms. Kathleen Faye O. Delos Santos, DFSSLG Board Member and SSLG President of San Fernando NHS (San Fernando District), spoke on โ€œYouth as a Journalist: Voice of Honesty during the Untruth,โ€ emphasizing the role of youth in promoting truth and responsible communication. She was followed by Mr. Wendyll Frank S. Nilo, DFSSLG Auditor and SSLG President of Sta. Lutgarda NHS (Cabusao District), who tackled โ€œYouth as a Catalyst of Environmental Change and Sustainability,โ€ calling on learners to take active roles in environmental protection. The forum concluded with Ms. Kyla Nicole M. Artiaga, who returned to the stage to discuss โ€œYouth as Champion of Good Governance and Transparent Leadership,โ€ inspiring participants to uphold integrity, accountability, and service-oriented leadership.

The successful conduct of the Learnersโ€™ Congress served as a testament to the collective commitment of the Tigaon District in nurturing empowered, informed, and socially responsible youth leaders. As the celebration of NSD and NCM 2025 continues, the voices of the Kabataang Tigaeรฑo remain unitedโ€”strong, purposeful, and ready to lead.
