The cooperative was conceptualized during the meeting of the United Church Men (UCM) of UCCP Tigaon on March 16, 2008. Batucan suggested to organize a cooperative and this was seconded by Bro. This meeting were attended by Bro. Oliver, the UCM President and other members and officers, such as Bro. Robles, Bro. William Z. Agnas, Bro. Arthur Bongulto, Bro. Casiano U. Saba, Bro. Benjamin Espinosa and

Bro. Romeo Purcia. The first Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) was conducted by Bro. Jose A. Alfon, CPA on April 26, 2008 which were attended by 27 original members. After the seminar, the members present elected its first cooperative officers. Oliver was elected Board Chairman. The name of the cooperative was selected from several suggested names and it was Ptr. Joel B. Dela Vega’s suggested name Holistic Operation for People Empowerment Multi-Purpose Cooperative (HOPE MPC) was adopted. The cooperative was registered with the Cooperative Development Authority on August 5, 2008 with a CDA Registration No. NG – 4131. Its initial Authorized Share Capital was Eighty Eight Thousand Pesos Only (P88,000.00) with a Paid-Up Share Capital of Three Thousand Six Hundred Pesos Only (P3,600.00). On September 10, 2008 the BIR Registration was secured with its number TIN: 264-905-849-000. The First Annual General Assembly meeting was held on February 14, 2009 at the UCCP Tigaon Evangelical Church, Tigaon, Camarines Sur. Its resource Speakers were Mrs. Grace P. Layosa of the CDA Regional Office and Bro. Alfon. The Cooperative Vision, is “HOPE MPC is known for its excellence in revealing God’s power & authority on Kingdom’s prosperity”. Matthew 16:18-19

With the implementation of the new Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008 (R.A. 9520), the Cooperative was able to re-register with the CDA and an amendment of the Article of Cooperation ad By-Laws was submitted to CDA and a new Registration No. 9520-05002493 was secured. On its 5th Annual General Assembly meeting held on February 13, 2013, the Cooperative presented its Comprehensive Development Plan and its new and amended Authorized Share Capital from P88,000.00 to Three Million Pesos Only (P3,000,000.00) with a Paid-Up Share Capital of Six Hundred Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty Two Pesos & 43/100 (P619,932.43) of 320 members. The officers then, were Bro. Oliver, BOD Chairman; Bro. Alfon, CPA, BOD Vice-Chairman; and Board of Directors, Bro. Batucan, Ptra. Norma L. Papa & Bro. Samuel P. Angeles. The General Manager was Ptr. Gavino B. Dela Vega; Treasurer, Bro. Robles; Secretary, Bro. Jesus P. Beloy; Loan Officer, Sis. Nena B. Dela Torre and Bro. Issac Joshua P. Alfon, Bookkeeper. After three years when the Cooperatve had first amended and increased its Authorized Share Capital from its initial P88,000.00 to P3,000,000.00, it had again amended and increased the Authorized Share Capital during the 8th Annual General Assembly meeting on February 20, 2016. These were divided into 100,000 common shares at P100.00 per share, valued at P10,000,000.00 and 50,000 preferred shares at P100.00 per share, valued at P5,000,000.00. This year’s total Paid-Up Share Capital is amounted to P3,384,142.97.
