Yesterday was another beautiful day of service as the Rotary Club of Waling-Waling Davao visited our four Child Development Centers, Duha, San Jose, Tibungco 1, and Tibungco 2, for our Balik-Eskwela & Brigada Eskwela Initiatives.

With grateful hearts, we turned over school supplies and learning materials that will accompany these young learners throughout the school year. But beyond the notebooks, pencils, crayons, and other essentials, we shared something even more meaningful. . .encouragement, laughter, hope, and love with every child and parent who joined us.

The day was filled with heartwarming moments that reminded us of the simple joys of serving. Watching the children’s eager smiles and excitement as they prepared for a new school year reaffirmed our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and thrive.

Education is one of the greatest investments we can make. By equipping our children with the tools they need today, we help build stronger families, empowered communities, and a brighter tomorrow.

As we continue this Rotary year, we remain steadfast in our commitment to Creating Lasting Impact—one child, one family, and one community at a time.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our dedicated officers, members, partners, and generous supporters whose kindness made this project possible. Your generosity extended far beyond school supplies; you shared hope, inspiration, and the promise that these children are valued and cared for.

A Wonderful Start to a New Rotary Year! 💜🌸

Our very first meeting and fellowship under the leadership of our new President, Niptalez Nuñez Avena, was truly a memorable and heartwarming gathering.

The luncheon was well attended, with a good number of our Blooming Ladies coming together to officially begin another exciting Rotary year. Dressed in white, symbolizing new beginnings, members proudly adorned themselves with the signature elements of their respective teams—Team Gold, Team Pearl, and Team Diamond—each beautifully reflecting the spirit and identity of their team.

The fellowship was vibrant, interactive, and filled with laughter as members embraced the occasion with enthusiasm and camaraderie. The atmosphere was festive, and a genuine spirit of friendship and unity could be felt throughout the luncheon.

Adding to the celebration, we honored the birthdays of four of our cherished club members, making the occasion even more meaningful. Everyone enjoyed a delightful spread of food, with the mouthwatering lechon quickly becoming one of the highlights of the day!

There was also a palpable sense of excitement as everyone witnessed our new President confidently preside over her very first club meeting. It marked not only the beginning of a new Rotary year but also the start of a journey filled with renewed purpose, fellowship, and a shared commitment to create lasting impact in our communities.

Here’s to many more inspiring meetings and unforgettable moments together.

The Rotary Club of Waling-Waling Davao proudly joined the Rotary Clubs of Davao under Rotary District 3860 in celebrating the Rotary New Year through a meaningful outreach at Ciriaco Mariano Elementary School in Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City.

This significant gathering brought together the Rotary Clubs of Areas 2A, 2B, and 2C under the inspiring leadership of District Governor Arlene Juele Adlawan, with the active participation of the Assistant Governors, club officers, and members committed to making a difference.

As we officially began a new Rotary year, we reaffirmed our commitment to this year’s Rotary theme, “Create Lasting Impact.” Through the distribution of food packs, vitamins, books, and hygiene kits to the young learners of Ciriaco Mariano Elementary School, we shared not only essential necessities but also hope, compassion, and encouragement with children from underserved communities.

The Rotary Club of Waling-Waling Davao was honored to be part of this collective effort, living out Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self. Together, we continue to create lasting impact, one act of kindness, one child, and one community at a time.

Our final Club Meeting for Rotary Year 2025–2026 was a beautiful celebration of service, fellowship, and gratitude.

Held on June 25, 2026, at Sarung Banggi, the evening marked the close of an inspiring year under the outstanding leadership of President Sylvia B. Austria. It was also our Awarding Night, a special occasion to recognize and thank the Rotarians whose dedication, generosity, and unwavering support helped make our projects, fellowships, and service initiatives a resounding success.

As we look back on the past year, we celebrate not only the milestones we achieved, but also the friendships we strengthened, the lives we touched, and the spirit of Service Above Self that united us every step of the way.
