๐Ÿ“Š Set clear and realistic goals: outline measurable results and a practical timeline.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Centre youth and community action: show how young people and local communities are actively involved.

๐ŸŒฑ Think beyond the grant: explain how your project will continue or create lasting impact after funding ends.

๐Ÿš€ Build on what already exists: demonstrate how your idea strengthens, expands, or scales ongoing efforts.

โŒ Avoid general awareness-only ideas: focus on solutions with concrete actions and real implementation.

Last February 20, 2026, SOA Palawan collaborated with Western Philippines University for Ocean Biodiversity Project. This project was an educational campaign for local high school students in Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa.

We introduced our organization as a youth-led movement for conservation and promoted environmental-related courses, highlighting how the youth plays an important role in the conservation of Palawan resources.

The coastal communities of the Philippines need your help.

Last November 4, the onslaught of Super Typhoon Kalmaegi, locally known as Typhoon Tino, devastated the province of Palawan, hitting rural coastal communities. Houses were destroyed, and their fishing boats, which they relied on for their livelihood, were damaged. These communities are in remote, far-reaching places, making support and aid difficult to access.

SOA Palawan is coordinating a donation drive in partnership with Sulubaai Environmental Foundation. Your aid will help with the villages of Sandoval, Depla, Silanga, and Batas, primarily with the fishing communities, to help them rebuild and recover.

Too often, development efforts focus on single issuesโ€”health, conservation, or livelihoodsโ€”without seeing how these shape and sustain one another. The recent 10th National PHE Conference served as an eye-opener for many young advocates: that real, lasting impact happens when we work across sectors, not within silos.
