Typhoon Jolina has affected at least 28,400 families caused by the torrential rains and hurricane winds. The weather disturbance has also damaged 6,423 houses in Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, and Eastern Visayas. Hundreds of families have been reportedly left without a shelter, as 301 houses were totally destroyed.
Through the Sigma Rho Cares initiative, the UP Sigma Rho Fraternity has partnered with Zero Hunger PH to provide relief assistance to those afflicted by the storm. Zero Hunger PH is a national youth-led movement that has helped more than 20,000 families all over the country throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Together we aim to help out our countrymen and women who are affected by natural calamities in these already difficult times.
Our fraternity invites you to share in our initiative by donating to any of the accounts below. Priority noncash donations are hygiene kits, eco bags, cleaning materials, clothes ,and flashlights with batteries.
