🌸 National Women’s Month Awareness: Stop R**e, Protect Women! 🌸

In celebration of National Women’s Month, on March 6, 2025, PSSg Maria Victoria B. Bandayanon, Desk Officer, appeared on “Morning Ka Bai” on DabaweNews TV Mati, hosted by Mr. Rocky Siverio.

The discussion focused on R.A. 8353, R.A. 11313, and R.A. 9262, raising awareness on r**e and gender-based violence and emphasizing the legal protections available for women and children.

This National Women’s Month, let’s all take part in preventing violence against women by reporting incidents and supporting law enforcement in keeping our communities safe.

📌 SYMPOSIUM CONDUCTED | TARRAGONA MPS

Personnel of the Philippine National Police assigned at Tarragona Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted a symposium on March 13, 2026, at about 9:00 AM, led by PSSg Melissa Faye C. Gullem-WCPD PNCO together with Pat Velmar II Ferrando-MCAD PNCO under the leadership of PCPT Lourd Arliegh C. Valdevieso, Officer-in-Charge.

The activity was attended by more or less 100 students of Tarragona National High School and focused on awareness and discussion of the following laws and topics: Republic Act No. 9262, Republic Act No. 7610, OSAEC/CSAEM, and Anti-Bullying Awareness to strengthen the protection of women and children.

The symposium successfully concluded at about 12:00 PM of the same date.

Tarragona MPS remains committed to strengthening community partnership and promoting public awareness in support of the mission of the Philippine National Police in maintaining peace and order and ensuring a safer community for all.

The personnel of the Philippine National Police – Tarragona Municipal Police Station (MPS) express their sincere appreciation to the Grade 10 and Grade 12 students of Tarragona National High School for their active participation and warm support during the conduct of our activity in line with the celebration of National Women’s Month and Fire Prevention Month.

The activity was successfully conducted by PNP Tarragona MPS personnel led by PSSg Melissa Faye C. Gullem, WCPD PNCO, under the leadership of PCPT Lourd Arliegh C. Valdevieso, OIC. Your enthusiasm, cooperation, and attentiveness greatly contributed to the success of this meaningful program promoting awareness, safety, gender equality, and community responsibility among the youth.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection – Tarragona for their support and collaboration in promoting fire safety awareness in line with Fire Prevention Month.

Likewise, we sincerely thank the School Principal and the dedicated teachers of Tarragona National High School for their valuable assistance, coordination, and commitment in guiding the students and making this activity possible.

Through the strong partnership between the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the academic community, we continue to strengthen our shared goal of building a safer, more informed, and empowered community.
