For more than five years of providing photography services in Manabayukan, and over a decade of a personal mission close to the heart of Mr. Deewyne Castro, our commitment has always been rooted in respect, compassion, and genuine partnership with the Aeta community. This is not simply about giving back... it is about walking alongside the community, listening, learning, and supporting their aspirations in ways that honor their identity and dignity.

Through this initiative, we hope to help inspire the youth to see the many possibilities ahead of them, to nurture their dreams, and to remind them that their stories, culture, and potential are deeply valued. Our goal is not to define success for them, but to help create spaces where they can envision and pursue it on their own terms.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who continues to support this mission. To those who avail of our services at DJ Visuals, please know that a portion of your support directly contributes to meaningful programs for the Aeta community in Capas. Because of you, we are able to continue reaching more communities with the same care and purpose.

We would also like to sincerely thank the Municipality of Capas, Tarlac for their invaluable support, Paint the World with Kindness for being our partner in this advocacy, The Law Office of Atty. Rosel Joy Provido, the Azur Family, Christian Dizon Pili, Charmaine Cua, Divine Dizon Pili, Jonianne Castro, and most especially the dedicated educators of Manabayukan Elementary School, led by Ms. Carol Simbulan.

This mission continues because of a shared belief... that every child, every family, and every community deserves to be seen, heard, and supported with dignity.

For nearly nine years, our connection with the Aeta community has grown from a simple act of kindness into a long-term commitment. What started during high school as small gestures along the Capas to Brgy. Sta. Juliana route later became a deeper involvement with Aeta children and families.

As time passed, the initiative grew beyond individual efforts. Family members, friends, and partners joined in organizing outreach activities that provided basic goods, school supplies, and small sources of joy such as toys. Through these experiences, it became clear that many Aeta communities in mountain areas has low numbers of donors, often because they are difficult to reach due to transportation challenges.

A key moment came during senior high school through a school project that led to Manabayukan, a mountain school in Capas that requires river crossings and long off-road travel. With the guidance of Ma’am Carol, this experience opened opportunities to reach more remote schools and communities. It also strengthened the goal of making these communities visible so more people and organizations would understand their situation and needs.

One meaningful initiative that followed was the graduation photoshoot for Aeta pupils. What began as a simple creative effort had a strong impact without us knowing. The children showed pride and happiness when they saw their photos, which helped motivate them to continue studying and value their education. Over time, this showed how recognition and encouragement can influence confidence and future goals.

This movement has always been a collective effort. It continues through the support of friends, families, partner groups, and NGOs who believe in helping Aeta learners and their communities. Every contribution, whether time, resources, or support, helps build opportunities for education and growth.

While these efforts may be small compared to larger challenges, they reflect a shared responsibility to support Indigenous learners. Access to education and basic needs should not depend on distance or location. Stronger support from institutions and government remains necessary for long-term change.

We sincerely thank all sponsors and partners who have supported this initiative and continue to do so each year. Your commitment helps ensure that Aeta communities are seen, heard, and supported.
