𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | TSU Shuttle Services to implement ₱20 provisional shuttle fare starting March 19
Following the nationwide fuel price hike caused by the persisting war in the Middle East, the School Transport Services of Tarlac State University (TSU-STS) will adjust the shuttle fare from ₱17 to ₱20 per ride beginning tomorrow, March 19 to sustain fuel and operational costs.
This comes following the university’s approval of the association’s request for a ₱3 increase in the school service fare to maintain the “safety, reliability, and quality of service for the students.”
In its request letter, the association acknowledged that this decision may impact the students’ budgets but assured that it is “necessary to ensure continued, safe transportation for students.”
Despite this, the adjustment immediately garnered mixed reactions. In a comment on a post on Firefox League showing the TSU-STS’s notice announcing the adjustment, a student expressed: “Hope that the higher-ups understand how life is so hard, especially nowadays that we are facing economic problems. Twenty pesos for a short ride.”
The association, however, noted that the fare rate will roll back once the fuel prices stabilize and return to their normal pricing.

Through the collaborative efforts of 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬, the 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐜 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, and the 𝐓𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲, the KKP Conference 2026 became a meaningful gathering of chemists, educators, researchers, and students united by one goal—advancing Green Chemistry for a changing world.
