You arrive as strangers, wearing the same uniform but carrying different stories. Then somewhere between shared meals, long walks, laughter, and silent moments under the night sky, kasabay ang nagbabagang kampo siga you find your people.

In scouting, you don’t just meet random individuals. You meet souls who slowly become your constants hanggang maging bahagi sila ng araw-araw na buhay mo. The ones who stand beside you in every challenge, who understand without needing words, who turn simple moments into memories you’ll carry for a lifetime. Mga alaala at kwentong umuukit at bibida pagdating ng araw.

From unfamiliar faces to irreplaceable bonds this is where friendships are not forced, but formed through experience, trust, and time.
You built memories together. You grew together. And without realizing it, they became home ang nagsimbolong tahanan at nagiging pagtahan sa nakakapagod na mundo.
Because in scouting, the journey isn’t just about where you go it’s about who walks with you.

Maybe all of us will meet a buddy in scouting who eventually becomes our best friend.
The kind of person who pushes you to keep going even when you doubt yourself. The one who reminds you that fear should never stop you from trying, and that growth begins the moment you choose to continue despite being scared.
Together, you carry the same struggles, the same memories, and the same dream of becoming Eagle Scouts someday.
Because scouting becomes easier when someone walks beside you through every failure, challenge, and quiet victory no one else sees.
And maybe that’s the most beautiful thing about having a buddy they make you believe in yourself again, especially during moments when life almost convinced you not to.
Everyone deserves a best friend in scouting who stays beside them while chasing the same dream, reminding them that no matter how hard the journey gets, they are still capable of flying higher than they ever imagined.

Until we meet again… because in Scouting, the word "goodbye" never truly exists.

Perhaps the hardest part of every Scouting activity is not the exhaustion after the campfires, the hikes, or the service it is the Scout Benediction. It is the quiet reminder that after one final circle, everyone will return to different places, different routines, and different dreams. Some will meet again after a few weeks, others after months, and some, perhaps, after years.
As another chapter of life begins, many of us step into Senior High School or College carrying the same question:
"Sino ako ngayong Senior High School na? O nasa kolehiyo na?"

Life will soon become busier. Deadlines will pile up. Responsibilities will grow heavier. There may come a time when the Scout uniform hangs quietly in the corner, untouched for months, while attendance becomes impossible because life demands more than we ever imagined.

But Scouting is never measured by how often we wear the uniform it is measured by the values we continue to carry long after we fold it away.

The laughter may fade. The campsites may become silent once more. The people we spent countless adventures with may walk different paths. Yet the lessons, friendships, memories, and the person Scouting helped us become will never disappear.
Because some journeys never truly end.

Scouting has a beautiful way of bringing people back together. Different places. Different seasons. Different versions of ourselves, but the same Promise, the same Law, and the same bond that time could never erase.

So chase your dreams. Finish your studies. Embrace every opportunity that comes your way. Become the person you aspire to be, but never forget the place that helped shape the person you are becoming.

And when life finally gives you a moment to look back through the mirror of time, may you realize that no matter how far you've gone, a part of your heart has always remained here.
Because some homes never forget the people who once belonged there.
So this is not a farewell.
It is simply a promise...

𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 | 𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐓

BEING A LADY SCOUT IS NOT A PRIVILEGE.
IT’S A RIGHT.
The fire slowly danced in front of us while the night grew quieter around the campsite. One by one, stories were shared beneath the glow of the campfire, stories of struggles, victories, fears, and dreams hidden behind every Scout uniform.
Then a voice spoke softly from across the circle.
She shared how difficult it was to enter an organization where people still see Scouting as something made only for men. She spoke about how exhausting it is to prove that a girl can lead, survive, command, and serve just as much as anyone else. Some doubted her strength before even seeing what she could do. Some questioned if she truly belonged in the field, in the camp, or in leadership.
And while listening to her story, one realization quietly stayed with me:
Being a Lady Scout is not a privilege. It is a right.
A right to lead.
A right to learn.
A right to serve.
A right to stand beside everyone equally beneath the same flag, the same stars, and the same campfire.
Scouting was never meant for only one voice. It was built for every person willing to serve, grow, and become better for others.
That night, the campfire became more than just warmth against the cold air. It became a reminder that courage does not depend on gender. Leadership does not belong to men alone.
And the spirit of Scouting will always have a place for every girl brave enough to step forward despite the doubts surrounding her.
Because sometimes, the strongest flames are the ones that had to fight the wind the hardest just to keep burning

May mga sandaling hindi kailangang magsalita upang marinig ang isang pangako.
Sa isang tahimik na saludo, naipapahayag ang paggalang sa mga aral ng nakaraan at ang pagtanggap sa mga hamon ng hinaharap. Tulad ng liwanag na sumisilip sa gitna ng dilim, ang isang Scout ay patuloy na tumatahak sa landas ng paglilingkod—hindi dahil ito ang pinakamadaling daan, kundi dahil ito ang tama.
Ang unang saludo ng taon ay higit pa sa isang galaw ng kamay. Ito ay paalala na sa bawat bagong simula, may bagong pagkakataong maging mabuting halimbawa, matatag na pinuno, at tapat na lingkod ng bayan.
At habang binubuksan natin ang panibagong kabanata ng taong ito, nawa'y manatiling buhay ang apoy ng Scouting sa ating mga puso—isang liwanag na hindi lamang tumatanglaw sa ating landas, kundi nagbibigay rin ng direksiyon sa iba.
