Orange Apron Day is back, this time with a twist like never before!

This 7/11, our cherished tradition takes on a new chapter: shared stories over shared meals served by our students, and for the first time, an exclusive experience inside our Dolljoy Museum 🫟

Our celebration also features discussions and awareness initiatives on Estate Planning and Insurance for Families with Special Needs — promoting long-term care, sustainability, and inclusive futures for our loved ones.

Dr. Benjamina Pereyra is a passionate advocate for inclusive communities and sustainable social development, dedicating her work to empowering persons with developmental disabilities and their families.

Recognizing the lack of transition opportunities for individuals with disabilities after formal schooling, she has championed innovative community-based solutions through OneLife Foundation, Inc. and Happy Homes Housing Cooperative. Her initiative promotes intentional communities where persons of all abilities can live with dignity, develop independent living skills, access vocational training, and participate in meaningful employment.

The project pioneers an inclusive housing cooperative model in the Philippines that integrates accessibility, environmental sustainability through renewable energy and strong community support networks.

By advancing inclusive housing, skills development, and economic participation for persons with disabilities, her work contributes directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, particularly Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).
